So...it turns out that you actually have to keep reading the thread to know what the score is? I was wondering why I'd not been PM'd - never mind!

Cheers 95 quid peugeot for taking your time to sort it all

Thank you 95qp for Volunteering and actually doing it.. Perhaps we need a random generator for next years 'Volunteer' ??

Many thanks for sorting this Mr 95 quid Peugeot, gifts acquired, wrapped and will be shipped tomorrow. I haven’t even bought my Mrs a gift yet!

Thanks from EU side too Mrsmallpricedfrenchcar - I pity the fool etc... as it is sitting all prepped. I should be able to clear shelf space in the garage in about 25yrs or so at this rate!

My gift*. Has been posted today. My daughter also came and wrapped all my Xmas presents up and I now have them in individual named bags to just give out. It's great being on your own and useless.

How would most shitists feel about actually having a car turning up and being registered to then?

Funny, or too far?

I would love that! A few years ago when classic 900 Saabs where at rock bottom, several times I came back from an offshore trip to find a knackered Saab 900 in the drive and a log book posted through the door!

Yes, but that's a car you'd like. What it it was a broken auto Mondeo V6?

I am not fussy, homes always available for unwanted cars! If it was not so far away, a VDP Allegro would already be residing here! :-)

OK, so the first gift went up in flames, the second died. I have put holes in the wrapping paper this time and added enough food for 2 days. Wait... my cat just walked into the lounge... WTF did I post then?!!1?

To be fair I wouldn't argue with a free car either. Use it or sell it on with the world's cheapest roffle then go and treat yourself to the finest knock off cologne from Derby market with the proceeds. Admittedly I'd probably lose my knackers by the wife in the process.

As long as it isn’t someone just posting my old V5 for the Mondy back to me...

A parcel has arrived :) gentle wiggling of the box indicates it rattles, suggesting it is some kind of construction kit or a motion activated audio recording of the first and last time I ever attempted to change a timing belt and messed up TDC.

I have off road parking so not a problem.

I think mine might have turned up... I opened it, and haven't ordered said item, so in the spirit of the game I'll put it back in its envelope and if nothing else random turns up before Christmas I'll assume that's it and say thanks officially!

2 out of the 3 parts of my present to my recipient turned up today, hopefully the 3rd bit will turn up tomorrow then I can get it wrapped and sent! My match will be delighted*, after some considerable stalking it's just what they want*, I know they'll love* it!

Posted

Same here, though in the spirit of Autoshite I'm going to reuse the packaging for the lucky* recipient of my secret santa gift.

I'm really stuck at what to get the "lucky" recipient of me being their Secret Santa.

Never have I ever been so stumped for what gift to get someone. Even reading his/her. profile and posts, I am no nearer a solution.

My brain now hurts.

Tell me about it.  I'm sure you can find some bits of scrap in the garage though, right?

I don't know the person well enough to make an educated decision... Random tat it is then!

I've a feeling what I want to send is a bit heavy....

I'm glad it wasn't just me. Mine has been dispatched though.

I'm not sure what my recipient likes as I've not seen him/her comment on much. Have a few ideas though.

Old, but hopefully interesting car related tat will be winging its way to my recipient soon as well.
