Saab 9000 CSE Auto 2.3---NOW WITH A NEW OWNER!

Recommended Posts

I haven't had the pleasure of this car for very long but due to unforeseen circumstances I am relunctantly selling it--

1993 Saab 9000 CSE hatchback, automatic with 2.3 Full Pressure Turbo Engine.MOT expires in December 2018,todays mileage is 187115 and will increase very slightly as I still use the car sparingly.Unusual colour of Nocturne Blue Metallic, full grey leather interior with heated front seats with electric adjustment plus memory function on the drivers seat, air conditioning, cruise control, electric mirrors, sunroof, headlamp wash-wipe,aftermarket Blaupunkt Orlando radio-CD,clean alloy wheels with very good Dunlop tyres.

It has a good service history book but no supporting invoices,a good portion of the service book is hand written by a long term previous owner detailing lots of servicing,in my humble opinion the car has been over serviced. Recent work last week, aircon recharged, coolant flushed and renewed, new coolant header tank fitted, only because the old one was grotty!

Paintwork is good and shiny with only a few age related marks including some rust bubbling but no holes on both rear wheel arches. I have a pair of repair panels for the arches and a few service items that will come with the sale. I have two keys for the car and the V5 in my name.

Located in Ashford,Kent, quite near the railway station, tea and cake,or fish and chips available.

That numberplate look faulty.  Why are there no letters ? Scared of US looking at the MOT history? Is someone REALLY going to clone your plate ?

I love it but I can't have it because I need an estate - so have a free bump!

I absolutely love how Saab hit on the perfect cockpit with the 900 and then kept it forever. It is just the best design.

When you’ve had your plate cloned - and realise what a monumental ball ache it is - you’d perhaps understand why caution is prudent. Especially on a public forum.

Anyone genuinely interested would no doubt contact the buyer directly, ask questions, be furnished with the details required and make an informed decision.

Anyone not interested will continue to spurt bollocks as they consistently have.

If everyone on the planet lined up in order of how likely they were to conceal anything dodgy and rip you off on a car sale, Vantman would be right at the back. Way, way back there behind forked-tongued dissemblers like Mother Theresa, George Washington and Mr Spock.

That's actually VERY good.  One for the best quotes of autoshite 2018.

In my defence. apart from the fact that I'm a twat, I was amused by the 'paint' on the number plate, and being childish, couldn't let it go.

To be fair, there are few cars that would spark my interest today, but this is one that had I been looking for a car, would spark it.

I just looked it up and it came back as a SAAB 9000 with nearly immaculate MOT history. Was it obscured before?

GLWTS, they're good cars.

I have edited my original post to show the registration number.

We all know Mark (New POD) is a twat, but he's a decent bloke and his comment will have been tongue in cheek.

Willpower is fucking disintegrating rapidly for this thing I must admit....

Saw a 9000 the other day, first one in bloody years. I used to own a pogweasel burgundy one and it was ace. This looks like a beauty. If I had the money my name would already be on the V5C.

I wonder if there’s anyone with a collection of all the most extreme platform variants-

9000 FPT saloon

Thema 8.32/ perhaps shoehorned into an estate (If I was Agnelli I would have had one brewed up ‘personal use’)

164 3.0

Then for good measure an ex taxi croma

Etc

I miss my old 2.3 FPT CDE saloon Griffin, loaded to the gills with proper wood and gorgeous leather. I think there were only a couple left at that time , maybe none now  :-(  daughter was quite impressed too  :-D
