The old girl in the stripey top hasn't fully assumed the WilsonWilson-approved AS collection thread photo position.

Go back two more spaces.

Update: 40 miles in and no issues.

I'm currently on my way to Merthyr Tydfil as someone from the R8 Enthusiasts page on Facebook has some cheap white doors there to sort out the cosmetically challenged ones, then it's dinner time, and then home through the Brecon Beacons.

I love it, I've forgotten how much I like R8s. This earlier one feels so much more well put together than my last.

All the electrics work, the brakes are good, it has PAS (it was optional), ride is smooth, torque converter lockup works etc. Couldn't ask for more.

It's a 1990 416GSi auto.

My memory was the auto option came with PAS?

1991-1994 I worked for a Vauxhall dealer but because the group was mainly Rover we had access to the Rover management cars and sold quite a few.

Now in Merthyr Tydfil. Pair of rear doors and an electric mirror, £30!

He had two Metros and a 214, the Metro had a HubNut sticker and the Rover started life at Lockwood and Greenwood, my local Rover dealer!
