Rover 75 Roffle on hold, see t'other thread...

Legs seem to be working well enough, thanks injection into the spine! Less lardy now too.

Anyone got one that they fancy swapping for a now happy again Rover 75? Sadly it is the only form of currency that I have.

Anyone?

Looks like a roffle is under way at £6 per per ticket.

Pop the Raver up for sale - I reckon you're more likely to snag an MG with cash than a 75 (No offence - I love them).  Also, it widens the net a bit.

Hmm, makes sense.

What to value it at though??

Posted

Well it was £160 last week!

Seriously though a quick squiz at the bay will help give an approx value. Looks like most around your ones age seem to be between £300 needing work to £800 for a nice one. There are exceptions of course, including a manual v6 in Primrose which the guy wants over £3k for.

I don't want an R75 either but I definitely agree that you should get an MGF.

A broken 405?

The Rover will come with a set of front disks and pads and a known good rear door actuator.

I have some bits of an MGF... A very clean 1999 VVC we had til it was written off. 3 wheels, good engine, box, subframe, rear brakes, lots of trim...

Just in case you find one needing some cheap parts!

Might be a few around at the MG & Triumph parts show this weekend? Probably be all overpriced though.

If a roffle would £6 per ticket be OTT?

Nov 2018 MOT and insurable under a classic policy - all useful bits.

^^ we need to have words about a certain price fixation you have young sir lol

Ha. If anyone had bought it for £160, I’d have publicly shamed them for taking advantage. Glad you got it fixed up. Good luck man.

I think £6 per ticket Roffle would be extremely good value. And like Bornite I would have shamed anyone who got the car at the "possible hgf price"

Is it worth seeing what WBAC would offer first? Might be the same end amount but without the hassle of chasing us lot for payment!

Hahahaha....... WBAC have offered me £50.

I think not.

Cartakeback have offered just under £100 more on everyone I checked between them and WBAC.
