Standard fit 19" wiper blades from Wilko £2. I thank Ford for using cheap standard parts.

Wilko wiper blades are shit.  Every one I've bought has scraped and juddered and left a big unwiped streak across the screen.

I buy all my wiper blades from Roys of Wroxham.  They come in sizes from 13" to 24", they're as good as any other blades I've used and they're £2.49 a pop, whatever the size.  Admittedly this is of limited use if you live outside of Norfolk.

this morning while i was stuck on the M1 south at the M18 junction i saw a brown beige taupe poop coloured DAF 44 was belting up the motor way northbound.

i looked fantastic.

145 odd miles on the road this morning and that was the only interesting or desirable car i saw on the whole journey.

I've had next to no bother with even the very cheapest wiper blades, only casualties I've had was an ASDA one going boomerang shaped when I hadn't quite cleared *all* of the frost off the screen and the Wilko one on the passenger side at the moment makes a really annoying squeak so it's probably going to get changed soon. Otherwise, they end up outlasting the car's ownership.

Won a CZ on ebay - never heard from the seller despite repeated e-mail to him.

Last night I purchased a Jawa, which I am pleased about.Just need to sort out collection.

This morning the CZ seller rings me - he's been to a music festival and could get no phone signal (erm, ok). Do I still want it? Nice feller, answered all my questions, very knowledgeable.

So i will be finalising the purchases on both. The CZ is in Bristol so I'll collect that Sunday. The Jawa is in Manchester-but really not sure when I will have a day spare collect that, as I'm pretty busy for next couple of weeks.

Looks like I'll be asking around for a favour soon........

I was at a music festival at the weekend. There was a signal but I couldn't use the 'phone because my ears had shutdown.

I buy everything I've ever bought from Roys of Wroxham.

I love that place. Nowhere else could one man have a department store, garden centre, toy shop in fact 80% of the town last time I went, all named after him. Including the brilliantly named Miss Roy clothes shop.

I did wonder how McDonalds managed to retain their name and not have to rebrand that one restaurant "Roy McDonalds" in the face of such global competition.

I think that 'Newby's Of Molford' from the Framly Examiner is heavily based on Roys of Wroxham. Roy has an iron grip over all commerce in Wroxham and will send the lads round to any new shop opening up and suggest that it may be in their interest to name it 'Roys <insert name of primary goods sold here>' and pay him regular tribute, otherwise bad things may happen.

Brings back childhood memories that does!

I took the saph to my mates bodyshop today so work can be started to get it looking 100% again, it's currently sharing space with an x19 and a mk1 escort, the escort is just waiting to get polished

I'm going up on Friday to do some work on it to both help him and keep the costs lower.

But what are you driving everyday while it's in? I hear you cry

A mk3 cav expression which my good friend sutty2006 has said I can use

Been offered a metro F reg one lady owner from new low mileage but has been garaged for the last 2 years. It's a 998cc so safe from the mini rapists. What is it likely to be worth and would anyone be interested in giving it a good home. It has had a set of mini wheels fitted to it but will come with the old metrics as well. The owner wants it to go to a good home but knowing how often I change cars maybe I am not the best custodian of it. It is a "surf" special edition that has been loved dearly but is now sadly getting in the way.

That video that was posted on here the other day of the fat bloke running after the cyclist and falling arse over tit is currently on the front page of YouTube and has about 5 million views.

I did a bit of creeping around with a camera today..... I'll put the best pics over on the open forum since there's zero car interest, but this did make me chuckle when I opened a cupboard...

My sister brought me back some plop, kex and picnic bog from Sweden. All very nice but she also brought me a bottle of schnapps. I've no fucking idea what's in it but it's delicious. 38% too and on  School night. You can see my new tablet top left.

Australian "Millionaire Hot Seat" quiz program tonight. The question asker asked a contestant what his hobby was. The answer was that he read everything on Wikipedia. The answer from the asker was a bit of a grin-raiser " I hope you win some money so you can buy yourself a life"
