Finally moving house on the 1st, and after 32 years I'll actually have my own house. Going to be expensive (no spare money to play with cars) but the freedom and privacy will be worth it.

 

Long shot, but anyone in the area have a white van/large estate and could help with the move?

I am in Wellington so not  million a miles away and have a hearse which can get a fair bit of crap in the back

Visiting friends at the weekend and I was amused by what the garage next door are selling now. They used to have a Korean Chevy franchise but with the demise of that marque they've had to find something new and have gone well outside the mainstream with their choices of MG and Ssangyong I didn't even think Ssangyong were still around after the massive success* of such delightful* products as the Actyon and Rodius. They seem to have a decent amount of stock but I can't help wondering how long it's been there and how many sales they actually make.

The localish ex-Honda dealer in Edinburgh went over to SsangYong and Great Wall a couple of years ago. It was less than a year after the franchise change that I went past and saw the showroom had been quite dramatically razed to the ground so obviously not a successful change of direction for the business.

 

As for MG, the less said the better. It is telling that not one dealer within an hour of where I live has decided it was worth taking on an MG franchise. Until about a year ago (the dealer changed group and the franchise was dropped), I had a Morgan dealer nearer than an MG one!

West Midlands Police.

 

Got mugged on Sunday night (not even lived in Wolves a month, I'm here for uni), lost iPhone and broken glasses and a few blows to the head, but I'm unhurt.

Police have done an excellent job of keeping me informed of developments, and finding those reponsible - one of them can't have been older than 12, seemed his 'mates' were a bad influence (all much older than him). Couple days later the police found him and questioned him, the little shit gave up the names of his older accomplices apparently.

They'd made an arrest before I'd even finished making my statement 

I'll be taking this as far as I can, but I'm not hopeful I'll get that far.
