Swedish superglue advert? Will take the weight of a ten year old trout poacher wearing his fathers trousers glued to a 1963 Volvo headlining?

Dunno. Am stumped.

Autoshite's resident Leyland National 2 has been modelled by EFE in it's original livery - release date is February :D

Oh dear. Bit of a lazy Mk2 makeover there. It's just a Mk1 with a black grille. S'pose it didn't make sense re-tooling for the bigger windscreen...

May just have to buy one of those and paint it yellow and green...

Agree on the Volvo 240, could the one at the back be a mk1 Freelander?

Looks Japanese to me, possibly even a Nissan Cargo.

Right-click, "open image in new tab".

Ahh. Am using an IPad. No mouse to right-click! Explains why I can only see fish and a child...

Thought I was missing the point, or that you are all mad, possibly!

Put your finger in the image and hold it there, a menu will appear giving you the option to "save image".

Once you've done that you can view it in your album or camera roll.

Thankyou! I am a duffer. Official.

The Sierra passed its MoT this morning, to my surprise. It initially failed on a frayed rear centre lap belt, but five minutes with a Philips screwdriver and a large pair of scissors sorted that. I was expecting it to need some weldage somewhere, but apparently not. And unusually for me, I'd actually got round to taking it in it before the last test ran out, so it's now tested for 12 months and 10 days.

Popped in to Lidl for some of the highly recommended screenwash, came out with some 2 ton axle stands for a tenner as well :D

Don't know wether this is really a grin or a grump, but the Rover was finaly collected today.

Nothing whatsoever to do with motoring but 'Great night out' on ITV is making me howl with laughter, you know whats going to happen the jokes are obvious but its the funniest thing I've seen in ages.

Finally got some income sorted. Plans are in motion to pick up the Lotus wheels for the Princess next week. I'm also making a start on seriously researching the cost of building my own home with a garage workshop as the main focal point with small apartment attached/above. Talking to Admiral reveals that the the more cars I have, the less each costs to insure, so much so that the rise in premium is miniscule which in turn means I might be getting a Reliant in addition to the Maestro and Princess rather than instead of, that'll please the neighbours. I'm enjoying being self employed again - art and crafts stuff - and actually making a better living from it than I was having learned from some mistakes. Life feels more settled than it has in a very long time and I feel in a much better place to achieve my goals.

Well done Volksy, it always feels good to come out of the other side...onwards & upwards (on 3 wheels  )

Glad to hear things have settled for you somewhat VA. It all seemed abit manic for you for a little while there.

Agreed, nice easy enjoyable friday night tv. Just one thing I didn't get - why were they all making a fuss about the new Lexus when it was the same car he drove to Stoke in to pick them up last week? (or maybe it was a just another silver blandmobile)

Look what I found in one of my wheelarches:

blade.jpg

Is that a razorblade? Is this a thing, welding a razorblade to a car?

Posted

It is the new craze, forget RAT-LOOK, this is TOOL-LOOK. You glue / weld various bits of workshop tools to your car, showing the rest of the 'scene' how little you know about said tools and how cool you are for refusing to use them and letting your car go to shit.

'Let's see if there's any rust on that wheelAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHH'. *faints from bleeding, dies from infection*

is it a softtop?

i have seen those boxes you attach a spare key into and mount under your wheel arch....................

I've actually done that years ago (apart from the dying part) went to A+E and got a tetanus shot in the arse from a very pretty nurse.......luckily i was wearing my batman undies so she obviously fell in love straight away......she just hid it very well

it is a soft top, so I've decided this is the answer . The alternative is that I've bought an emo car, and one day I'll find angsty poetry scattered about the garage and a car trying to cut its own brake lines.

I've heard of sellotaping razor blades to the rear edges of car stereos before, to teach any light-fingered tea-leaf* a lesson he won't forget, but I can't imagine why there might be one welded to the inner wheel arch.

*and an unfortunate next owner....

Thats mega weird that isn't it. I have no idea why someone would do that, but it looks pretty deliberate doesnt it! WTF is that all about?
