1. BISCUNT MAN HAS LEFT THE BUILDING. BISCUNT MAN HAS LEFT THE BUILDING. GET THE BISCUNTS OUT AND CELEBRATE, WOOOARGH!

2. My £28 Rolleicord turned up today, and after researching the serial number, it looks like I have an early postwar model IIb Mark 4 produced in 1946. This is apparently worth 'something' according to my camera mate. It all works, too. Battered to fuck, like. I want to get some 120 film and 'ave a go with it - but I can't because of other schedules.

3. SCTSH_ANDY has found the problem with his 9000 other than it being a Saab 9000 - a faulty pressure plate. He reckons he'll have it out of the unit by Sunday.

EXCELSIOR.

Dug out all the old truck/truck show pictures I purchased from, err, a truck show, and have slowly started adding them to Flickr. If nothing else it's keeping me amused for a couple of hours or so and there's some right old oddball stuff in there.

Link?

Dear [Name of shitcunt debt recovery withheld],

Thank you for your recent letter. They are in no way clogging up my waste paper bin. Your letterheads are very pretty. I would love a laser printer that could print on both sides. I am fine.

In all honesty that's a very generous offer you've sent me, but I prefer my terms of £0 at 0% APR until the end of time itself. If you need me I'll be knitting the low fog in my bomb crater with the sharp point of my bell end.

PS: May I also suggest that you learn the correct usage of a possessive apostrophe - that way, your cumfart letters might read convincingly for more than 1/300th of a second.

Sincerely,

Jo[h]n.

^That is the best novelty car thing I've seen in a long time!

Tonight, on my way home from work, I was cheered by the L suffix beige Range Rover I was following. Was also delighted by the mutual admiration of Maestro and an early 5 door diesel Pug 106 at the petrol pumps, we're both entirely correct, we do both have excellent* cars.

This will probably end in tears but as my last computer kindly spazzed itself to death after lashing out £30 on a power pack thing I've been to PC World, pulled my pants down and have gone all Windows 8 on yo ass.

Time will tell whether it's ace or annoying, at the moment it seems GR19.

After a long period of not working, I'm starting on Monday at 7:30am, sorting a potato harvest out.

In other news, does anyone know the Polish for "give over, ya twat!"?

'crats/'misserations on the new job! Nei znam Polski proved useful when I was working with Poles; "I don't speak Polish". I miss some of the Poles I was working with, even though we could barely hold a conversation, top bunch of folk for the most part.

Push to the left and up in the Maestro, pull to the right and down in the Princess. That's all that was wrong with the gear selection: me.

I had a trip to East Midlands airport yesterday to see an Airbus A380 Superjumbo that is being used to test the new engine being readied for the forthcoming A350. it had 3 ordinary engines plus one odd 'large' Trent XWB, and the inside was all stripped out and fitted with stacks of flight test instrumentation, plus monitoring stations for engineers to study whats going on with the engine systems, hydraulics, and so on. Pretty amazing, it had wiring harnesses strewn across the floor that were 6" thick, pressure probes taped to the fuselage and wings, and all sorts. There was a even a massive wiring plug in the wall, 12" in diameter with a great big sign on saying 'DO NOT DISCONNECT'

Absolutely brilliant! Exactly something I would have happily done -and then driven daily - had the circumstances arisen. I love it so much I may have to "save" the pic. Ok, next: PA Cresta Batmobile?

Seeing a bloke get down on one knee and propose to his girlfriend in the middle of a car park today. She said yes :D Ok, it was a bit of an odd choice of location but nice to see anyway!
