Crewe to their credit have had some fantastic players through their books over the years and I used to quite enjoy the 'Cheshire derby' many moons back*.

Yup. I wasn't there long, I think I was considered a tad too abrasive by people who didn't want to do too much work, and a lot too Scouse by Steve Cooke. I was sent there 'to sort out a couple of Bolshy drivers' on behalf of their manager. Problem was, I thought they were ok, they seemed to think I was ok because I didn't mind mucking in and cleaning cars, doing deliveries etc - ok, I was still some Scouse cunt from the office but I was fair with them.I quit eventually because I wanted to MOT my Sierra Estate and couldn't get an afternoon off to do it. Wasn't gonna commute for a week without an MOT..

Small world! You must have gone there after I left. I was sent in after Cooke bought the place from Gary Pickford, and funnily enough, my brief was to "sort out". Quite enjoyed it there, TBH, a lot less hassle than Atherton, although that was only because you were away from the shit, rather than the shit not happening!Billy, I wasn't there when the scrapyard caught fire, cos I'd been "sent back" to Atherton, although I was told about it. Well, I guess I am being a bit sarcastic as I don't believe there has ever been an F1 race at Bathurst and that F1 fans are in no way similar to Bathurst fans! There are currently only 2 manufacturers for the Bathurst race and it is very well known that as an 'aussie' you are either a ford or holden fan. With the good weather and the aussie liking of beer it's hardly surprising there is fighting.

Also, I was in HMV in Darlington today and picked up a box set of all the series of M*A*S*H for 50 notes. Now I love M*A*S*H so I am very very very very very very very very HAPPY The film is also in there as well

The mind boggles! A wonderful, yet wonderfully hairbrained idea I see enough poor drivers with only road rules to worry about without giving them railway rules to deal with too!

I was talking to a guy today who works for an animal waste processing firm, and it's not just dung they deal with. They produce tallow form animal fat. The really good stuff can be used in cosmetics. Poor quailty stuff gets sent for being turned into biodiesel.What made me smile is the thought of a vegan filling up with bovine biodiesel - does this make me evil?

What's made me happy this weekend is finding a NOS Sachs rear shock for the Carlton for £7.50 on t'Bay. Then getting it fitted in about half an hour with no seized bolts or other buggering about. If only car repairs were always this easy...
