Didn't even really feel the cold, must have been all the layers I had on.

......or it might have been a warm feeling from knowing that you and your fellow scooterists had made a difference to those kids' Christmas :)

Took the Micra to Merry Hell today, unsurpriginly for a FWD car it performed very well, still puts a smile on my face though.

Had to smirk at the local Press and Twatloids with thier continuing screaming OMG SNOW KAOS! IS THERE NO END!!! WE'RE ALL DOOOOOMED!!!!!!!! WILL NO ONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!! type headlines.

Then I switched on the radio to hear some bloke telling us in the thickest Black Country accent your ever likley to come across saying "he's here with us in these difficult wintery times".

There may be OMG SNOW KAOS but im loving the eary quite , no drone of traffic , not even the kids out playing make a noise

Peace and quite ,

The CX has made me grin! Hasn't been started for about a week and it's been below minus ten for a lot of that. Started first time and then even got off our driveway! The track is so slippery that even the 2CV baulked at it, but the CX just serenely sailed up! Suspension had to be on high mode because the snow was so deep. I'm very impressed.

Check out this guys photostream if you haven't seen it before

A chap called Nick DeWolf who's took photos focusing on his everyday life, all from the 1970's, they look like they was taken yesterday.

What a wonderful gift, to have been such a good photographer and captured so much of life, and now share it with the internet.

Bloody hell! Photos of grimy 1970s New York, I'm going to be here all night. Love that sort of thing.

OMGSNOWCHAOS has rendered the electrics in my 2006 Citroen Dispatch useless. I won't bore you with the details, but it's being fixed, and I've got a 2008 Vauxhall Vivaro CDTi from Europcar. FUCK ME!!! It goes like stink, and believe it or not it's GR7 4 DRIFTIN. Wound it up to over 100 earlier, and because it's not signwritten, I can drive like a twat, and not get phone calls from the unwashed masses. Obviously the snow/slush is allowing for the driftin' but it's fun all the same.

We all know the old saying, the the fasted car in the world is a hire car, and I can certainly testify to that!!!

Obviously you haven't spent a lot of time around Dutch people, Lord Sethington. That sort of thing is probably an everyday occurance over there.

It's a cover shot from the Dutch RAC (=ANWB) magazine 'Kampioen' from 1966, to promote their tv courses for home mechanics.

Almost every issue is now available on google books, great for period ads and car news, and tourist information from way back.

Lost a chintzy hubcap today, until I found it neatly propped up on a wall at the taxi rank, untouched. They look after their own!

Deposit received for the CX! I can afford to tax the Landy! Both grin-worthy. When I receive the balance, I can then afford to travel 24.7 miles in the Landy!

The battery in nextdoors smoke alarm is finally giving up. The sound has transformed into a softer, slower meeep-meeep. Hopefully it will be dead by Christmas.
