Sorry to be pedantic but I think it came from saddle bags. Before plastic luggage tat.

You might be right, but I don't recall seeing anything with bags labelled as a bagger.

Track search?

Yeah, that's what it did, but it probably had some unnecessary daft 4-letter proprietary acronym in the sales patter.

I received Leo Sayers greatest hits on vinyl off the Wife for xmas, i am now playing it through and singing in a falsetto voice.

I can tell SWMBO IS very impressed* with my singing...

I wonder how many times i can play it through before she cracks?

I got one of those 3D printing pens.

I made myself a bike!

If anyone needs a full size supercar knocking up, just shout. aae1a55c446112726be426f5210d1ef1.jpg

That's quite cool in a terrible way, how does a printer pen work?

Terrible? Why I ought to....!

It takes the filament wire you'd buy for a proper 3D printer but it's a chunky pen... The filament feeds into the back and it's got a heated nib like a hot glue gun. Feeds through at a set rate (you can choose the speed but you sort of set it beforehand rather than being able to vary it whilst you draw)

You then just draw onto a sheet of acetate and it sets in about 5 seconds. It mostly sticks to previously set material so I was able to do the rear forks in two parts by holding the acetate at an angle. Same with joining the forks to the frame.

You've only got feed/stop so it helps to have something to draw on top of, you've got no time to dither once it's feeding.

Obvs no match for a 3D printer, it's just a toy really but I've got a load of filament including glow in the dark so the whole house is getting crudely drawn cocks stuck to the ceilings later.

Me too! Tears in my eyes ( could be tired and emotional!). Longest children’s film ever until Harry Potter came along. Anyone know what the car is in the baron’s ( or even mad king Ludwig) castle that they are taxed with floating?

It’s ok I found it....Panhard et lavassor x19

Fuck I live at no 26.

*looks down street for a mahogany pimp mobile*

26 here is the massive baller that bought the show home with all of the decor done and undoubtably far less broken things than this Friday afternoon house so I salute you sir

First prezzie was a Haynes manual for a K11 Micra. Seems I better start looking for one next year! (Fortunately there is also a manual series for Skoda and Lada vehicles too so I'll have to buy those as well!)

There are several of these cars. One used to be parked on a back of flat bed outside terraced housing. I could never imagine that would happen now without it being molested. :-(

I used to walk past it on my way to school.

According to IMDb there were seven. A racing car, the one from the scrapyard at the start, the flying one, driving one and motorboat plus two partly built for back of truck shots. One is in Beaulieu and Peter Jackson ( director) has one in New Zealand.

Other interesting* facts from IMDb: dick van dyke was older than Lionel Jeffries by six months and he turned down the role three times and they just kept doubling his fee until he said yes.

The windmill is in Ibstone, bucks, and the beach near cap ferat on the Côte d’Azur.

The scene where the car crashes at the start is the zig zag road at box hill.

Christmas Grin.

I've Had a skinking cold for the last few days so as a Project I've built a massive lego fort for my nephews, (Assisted by father Coalnotdole.) Made mostly from my old childhood lego and a few additions from car boots and eBay.

Pretty pleased with the result...

Indeed. I drove past it once a few years back whilst test driving a Mitsubishi Delica. The village where they filmed Vicar of Dibley is only a couple of miles away, as I test drove through that as well.

Perhaps I was to old in general or just too old in the head by the point that I'd seen Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - I used to go to bed with the Triumph Herald workshop manual (not the Haynes one) before we got the telly - but I thought it was utter pish, even as a pre-10 year old.
