I got a bit of time to roll about under my Cortina today. Finished a bit of welding (obvz), tidied up some other bits, fitted the wing the for the first time in a year put it back on all four wheels!

Just about 40 jobs to do and I can get it in for an mot.

They have a few old Vauxhall Crestas on display there too.

And loads of deadbeat pikies living around the back

hahaha, I grew up about 4 miles from there and spent one summer working as a general handman at that caravan site. The owner was a complete bell end and the site managers were very, very odd.

Highlight was the owner burning the clutch out in his ~2 year old Hilux because he wouldn't wait for the guy with the tractor to move a static caravan and tried to do it himself. It didn't work, not even slightly. I still remember the smell.

The ex-The Moog roffle Swift passed its MOT on Thursday.

Straight through, no advisories. :-D

I put it in early to give me time to fix any fails.

Have they not got a low box? My range rover shifted one ok, first gear, low box and trundle away on tickover very very slowly waiting for the tyres to burst...

Ha..... PLV 43T.  I had PLV 28T 20 years ago, when I met MrsR.  That was my lovely 244GL automatic.  My first Volvo, in fact.  It had the original dealer plates on it from John Wallwork in Liverpool; the 66 probably has them too.  I've still got one on my wall outside.............

I reckon if you fitted the bootlid on the 2CV the wrong way up you could ride that up into the boot like the most shite version of Knight Rider imaginable.

Ace rear lights on that Pontiac Oldsmobile that Trigger had a play with:

Very nice 2.0 Capri Mk2. At this point it was merely a bit rainy.

Umbrellas a popular fashion accessory. Unfortunately I didn't have one, or a particularly rainproof coat. Doubt I'd have got much wetter if I'd have just jumped over the wall into the river.

Do you know what, I actually almost made it this month.  I jumped in the Mazda after work and headed down the A140.  Got as far as Diss and it started lashing it down, so I turned round and came home, thinking that no bugger would turn up in that weather.  Wish I'd carried on now - that Renner Five looks a honey.

Not mine sadly. We usually make do with knackered Honda Cubs anyway.

My Uncle was the parts manager at John Wallwork and had a series of 240,740 and 760's as company cars, he was kind of my hero as we used to get Volvo jackets and stuff off him.

We're at a place just outside Thetford. Posh sheds in the woods! Not been to have my picture taken with Captain Mannerwaring yet.

Where are you?

I was just behind a C4 Cachet, I thought it was a joke... but it's not. Only available in a diesel, making it more hilarious.

Grin, grump and stupid question all in one!

Grin- despite the thunder Friday lunch we still went camping for the weekend. To prove did a Wollard on the Rangie:post-5584-0-69569700-1495381584_thumb.jpeg

(Fxxk me the bumper is high!!)

The grump: 11 glorious miles to the gallon. I think the share price in BP must have risen over the weekend!

The stupid question: Can you Wollard a Gypo Wagon?

Perhaps I should call it a chav box as the boss has already spent a fortune in idea on throws, cushions and glasses as she didn't like the 1990s fabrics!!

I was as close to going as I've ever been, I'd taken the day off because Thursday was my birthday and I'm superstitious about working on my birthday but my oil pressure light came on and I didn't fancy my chances
