I just found a pair of (genuine) Mole grips.

Well, I say 'I' but really it was Phoebe (the dog).

As I may have mentioned before, in her attempts to aid/clean the environment she picks up some rubbish from the gutter on every walk, carries it with her (usually a plastic bottle or a can of Red Bull or similar) and then drops it in the drive for me to put in the bin, she has no intention of bringing it in the flat. No idea why she does it, just has for about the past year or so.

So today, walking along and I look at her 'cos she's struggling a bit and it was these Mole grips were proving hard to carry comfortably. Of course she wouldn't give them to me but was persuaded to change when I found her an empty Coke bottle.

So I am a pair of well used Molies up. Been used for holding plates together when welding obviously, work though and a freebie is always welcome!

I passed a chap today who was lopping branches off a tree, I did a double-take at his choice of safety headgear. It was a saucepan, I've only ever seen that before in the Beano

Yes it's mine. The 25 quid one needed a lot doing to it and this was so cheap for what it is. More pics if you like!

There good vans, i wanted one but it was over my budget. Yes more pics please  :-D

If you can leave the handbrake off, they bind on easily.

Some interior pics. I think it was a bargain. Cost 270. Needs a few small jobs and I need some bits and bobs like steps and water bottles but its fine for a first tourer

That's a bargain, looks nice inside. I was looking at 4 berth ones, Daystar i think and they were well over 1k.

Is that your caravan? Looks great.

I thought you were taking the piss and meant the Vauxhall.

The kitchen in the back end means you need to be careful with your loading to keep the noseweight correct and avoid snaking on the road.

Posh van, Merc trims they will love you on a caravan club site  :-P

i had a caravan once. Bought in a fit of enthusiasm for the lure of the open road and living 'off grid' for a few weeks at a time. I had a Toyota Crown to tow it with and I used it ..... once! Absolutely hated towing this huge great piece of shit around and then trying to find camp sites etc.

But I was young and liked getting my end away!

My Dad (step version) ended up living in it on the drive after my beloved Mother turfed the poor old bastard out... I used to let him in the house to empty the poo thing and have a decent shower whenever the evil old cow went out! Sold it to a fireman....

In other news, I have finally managed to get the passengers side wheels sort of 'restored'. It's what is known as a  'truly fucking shit job' that I have done, but they look better....

I have an ABI too, this is actually my 3rd caravan, although I don't use it for holidays as such, me and a couple of friends got fed up of going to festivals and car shows and it pissing down with rain, so we thought sod it, let's see what this caravaning malarkey is all about, love it for 3 days or so, but after that I miss home plumbing, not sure I could do a 2 week holiday.

First outing of 2016 is 2 weeks time, also the first time I'll have towed it with this car, I am fairly certain it's not going to go well..stand by for FTP thread.

I have won a car roller on ebay, should make procrastinating about what to do next more comfortable :)

Only down side is it in Wythenshawe in Manchester!

This could take a bit of juggling stuff!

A car roller a wonderful gadget, you can bolt your rotting mini (other rotting cars available) to it and roll it onto its side, so that you can weld up the floor. An allternative is using an old mattress, tyres and some hefty mates to tip it, propping it with some old scaffold planks (I do not recommend this).

Good purchase, they're ace - far better to weld the underside of a car when it's on its side than when it's on a ramp (and the right way up).

Working in IT at a university is amusing sometimes.

I work more in the network infrastructure side of things rather than the 'have you switched it off and on again?' of service desk.

Today, we had our weekly team meeting. All boring, you may expect. However, today one of the points was talking about simplifying the wifi. Snoooore. We basically want to collapse the different wifi IDs in halls of residence into one, with the content filters done by the location.

A topic of discussion was access to 'adult content' only being allowed in halls of residence. One of my colleagues made the mistake of saying "So how do we do this then?" to be greeted with the response: "Well there are two options, right hand or left hand" :D
