Leaving Manchester on a second attempt to get to Dublin they got diverted to Belfast, but did another go around there and finally landed in Liverpool around 9pm!

I once took my Daewoo lanos around the ton challenge bend after the railway bridge (northbound) as fast as it would go.  It wasn't a ton, but I didn't dare look at the speedo.    

 

I can remember being a rear passenger in a Xantia Activa which did it at the ton.  That seems crazy given how long it's been a 50 limit for!
