I were just looookin' through Flickr when I noticed that someone had taken a pic of my car and posted it up. I've actually been spotted out in the wild!

Also, I received an e-mail at work asking me to not park in the carpark, apparently the carpark is only supposed to be for field staff and what with a large amount of staff working there and there being very few spaces... It kind of pissed me off as I am very particular about where I park my car, I always have been. To be fair though, the people in the admin department I work with don't park in the carpark either, they are shoved out onto the road.

I was told that I'd either have to park on the road, or the Pay & Display carpark that our carpark backs onto. Sod that I thought.

I had a quick look behind some of the businesses that have private land at the back next to our carpark. The next door funeral parlour had pretty good space and is next door to where I work, so I rocked up and kindly asked for permission to use it, I was happily granted permission to use thier space at the back to park my car in. SCORE

^^ Hope it goes well Dave - best of luck.

Sold my house for the second time, after the first purchasers dropped out after their mortgage company said they would lend them more money. Yes - they have been told they can borrow more, so they dropped out to find a bigger house. Housing bubble is alive and well in Surrey.

Will 'collect' tomorrow. Have been after a gold two door with brown interior and tombstone seats for a while. I love these Micras. :)

I'm V8-motored again!

Gearbox works beautifully and only now it became apparent (to me) how knackered the old one was for quite some time.

Here's a bright(er) idea for Renault:

Find all the drawings for the R16, send them to Japan and get Toyota to make them.

Bought a Haynes manual for the Rover, this note was inside:

"I can't turn the map light off in my Rolls Royce" is a hell of a first world problem.

I found an ATM mini statement under the backseat of my old Turbo R. Balance of £27,056- on a current account in 1995.

There was also a Mont Blanc fountain pen- the car had to go after a couple of years, the pen, I still have. Probably worth more than the car now.

I copped off work early today cos it was quiet, and pissed off to Meadowhall to buy some new jeans which I've been putting off for ages. Anyway, I had a burrito and it was alright, no fucker annoyed me too much and on the way home going up the sliproad onto the M1 a 306 D turbo hammered past me like someone had trod on it's balls, turbo whistling away kicking out loads of black smoke and going a lot better than it had any right to. I definitely need something with a bosch pump and a turbo in my life fairly soon - I keep looking out for a TD engine for my golf but they seem to fetch too much dollar, I might break a car for one cos I could do with a gearbox.

When I took my P6 out for a drive today, I was soon followed by two black Daimler DS420 Limos with uniformed chauffeurs and what looked like some big end mobsters in the back. They also had consecutive reg nos ROV 3 Y and ROV 4 Y.

I know! I like my Cortinas but come on!, I've just scanned off the road test for this very car as it happens. (That's the reason i found the link in the first place).

I'd love a TT with a knackered engine and put a 1.9TDi in it.

There is an almost endless list of cars that I'd dearly love to put an XUD in.

If you get BBC Alba on the iPlayer or otherwise, I'd recommend checking out Air An Rathad which is a Scottish motoring show.  I've dipped in and out of it for a while but the recent episode was actually pretty interesting and worth a watch.  It has a smaller budget than other motoring shows, but that seems to keep it focused on the enthusiasts who, presumably, are more willing to devote their time to the show to make people aware of their interests and it makes the show all the better for it.

The majority of the show isn't in english but is subtitled.  This doesn't bother me as a lot of subtitled stuff tends to be good quality, but it might bother you so consider this forewarning.

There appears to be an unofficial "VAG TDi Gathering of Wankers" type affair at a local retail car park today. Stickerbombed Ibiza, a very battered Bora with pink alloys and a Pisshat Estate without a single straight panel are among those present.

Grin part: lending their support to the event are 4 PSNI Officers with an Octavia VRs, and some DoE guys in a VW Transporter. Cars are being jacked up, tyres are being looked at and various beanie-hatted fuckwits are being handed large amounts of paperwork, and informed of Construction & Use regulations.
