Great save on the sewing machine. They do come in handy, even if it's just for curtains and car upholstery.

My wife has converted her old sewing machine to treadle power! She doesn't seem to have made much on it yet though...

Bus driver on the way home showing NO MERCY for other motorists, the speed limit, the middle divider line or prospective passengers without the correct change. Needless to say I got home in record time. He even honked the shiny Scania air horn a couple of times.

Sorted my mate's "irrepairable" (according to the o2 store Apple Genius) iPhone 3GS. Got her pics off it, too. The Apple guy must be some genius - I know fuck all about them and I still did better than him. Seems it was the same guy who once told us you can't get email outside a 3G area on any phone - I showed him the emails on my old BlackBerry 8310, which isn't even a 3g handset.

Final score: Me 2 : 0 o2 Bloke. SMUG AS FUCK! :D:D:D

'My Tattoo Addiction' on CH4 right now. If you're not watching it already you need to tune in to see the DEFCON 4 levels of wankpottery some people sink to.

'If I was a cat and a lesbian'

It defies belief someone would have that shit on them. I can actually almost understand small, drunken tattoos (except having Mike J's a c*nt' of course) but having crap pictures of a crap American pop star is mind boggling.

Kerry Katona?

I would.

But I have got no morals or standards.

None.

On Tuesday i managed to get a video of one of the cranes i used to drive at work getting dismolished, 150 tons of steel crashing to the ground is a hell of a sight and sound to see/hear.

I have a couple of small tattoos, they're important to me, and me alone and I spent a good year making up my mind whether or not I wanted to have them marked on me forever. I have another design I want to add, but I'm still working out where best to put it and the finer details of the design before committing to saving up for it. Most people seem to go into getting a tattoo without any consideration as to what they'll think about it next week, let alone next decade.

To keep it shite related, I'm still thinking of suitable locations for the BL whirl/plughole logo, current favoured location is the top of my right foot, but I'm told that's not exactly one of the most comfortable locations to have tattooed thanks to the lack of thickness of flesh. We shall see, I shan't be doing anything rash like getting my bellybutton pierced or my bumhole tattooed with said design.

As someone with belly button AND arse tattoos I can't really judge. I have found that where it's more bone than flesh it can be very painful, though the people doing the work can make it painful if they want.

This isn't just any old truck getting stuck under any old bridge, this is a Marks & Spencer DAF CF 85 getting stuck under a mediaeval gate in York.

The Mrs gets her new car tomorrow so the Puma comes back to my custody so I can use it for wizzing up the country roads to work next week.

I was just reminded of a grin tonight on the way home. Spotted a pre-bubble Rover 214 and thought to myself 'nice to see a crusty old Rover still doing the rounds' when I realised it was a good 5 years newer than the Maestro I was sat in.

Woof? :D

Looks like it didn't take much to bring it down...

I watched that a few times to try and work out what they did - seems like they slit the uprights most of the way through just near the top, you can see them peel open when it falls. I wonder how they did it - I'd assume off another crane?

I already did!

Re the crane, ace vid but I'd say that was more 'knocked over' than demolished, bit like this...http://youtu.be/jNWe1b_2yE4

The story is that whilst i was climbing my crane there was a mighty bang and when i looked i saw that "13" was on the deck, impressed with this i hanged around for a while whilst they got number "23" ready to drop.

What they do is plasma cut along the top of the legs with a torch off the little blue cherry picker before the 360 comes along and pushes it over, the sound is believable hence why you here me yelp!

They are quite old now dating from 1994 and have done some serious work over the years, there's another 8 machines in piles just to the right of the video.
