What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

I had to nip through to Glasgow this afternoon and as it was a nice(ish) day, I took the mazda - the grin is what happened when I parked in a rooftop multi storey carpark, one with really steep, sharp ramps painted with that weird plasticky paint...and I still have my track tyres fitted ! Tyres squealing like a scene from an american cop movie :)

I had that of-sorts in a multistorey carpark in Sheffield, whilst on the way to a job interview - the Peugeot 205TD I had would lift a wheel in hard cornering, but if you got it just right you could make that tyre howl.  This carpark had a spiral ramp, so that tyre was squealing most of the way up...but I'd forgotten about the quirk of low fuel in that car...the squealing stopped when the engine cut out!!!

My temperature sender for the Land Rover has arrived and the gauge is now reading correctly.

I think there was a bit of overkill with the packing

My ebay saga with the brand new vax I sold ended with me not getting a refund... Moaned to Amy about it the other day, and mentioned argos catalogues. She hasn't been to argos, but just came back from tesco and suggested we wrap 4 or 5 of these together and post them a few times a week!

She's good at wrapping stuff up too! I'll also have a pretty much new vax air silence powered head for sale cheap soon, once I've fixed it. Works fine as long as you don't fucking push the brushroll out of its housing like a twat!

That's what you do when you realise how much you've spent on a vauxhall

I fitted some genuine airconshite. Surprisingly it still works. Spent an hour straightening the fins with a screwdriver.

Crappy old window units fitted to sheds successfully bringing property values down since 1956

Looking only slightly better now. If you ignore the moderately severe structural rust.

First I borrowed a van to take some pallets home for mrs T’s allotment.

Sorted his stations out for him.

Then I realised that the disco cup holders are perfect for some late night ice cream action.

Then I had a meeting with a project manager to have a look at a job this morning, turned out it was this absolute honey who turned up in a busso gtv. I was thinking about asking her to marry me there and then but thought it might be a bit soon.

Im sitting in Macdonald's car park at LHR stealing their WiFi , a bloke just walked in front of the car who I thought I recognised, tall black bloke around 50 , wearing a tracksuit. He had an Audi key in his hand , just noticed a Q7 with a number that explained all.

Any guesses before I post the picture?

Done that in a Jensen Interceptor in a multi storey in Harrogate - like a 70's cop show.

Jimmy Sav.... wait. Yeah, probably Frank Bruno. They're the only two older people I can picture in tracksuits, and one of them is less likely to be wandering around Maccies at Heathrow.

Frank Bruno

No, a bit heavier than Frank these days. I only know that because he was on telly yesterday pushing his book.
