it's a great place to drive, at least now they have CLEARLY marked the tram lanes. When I lived over there in the 90s I managed to drive up one the wrong way only to be met by a bemused tram driver with full compliment of passengers. I gently bounced up the kerb and onto the pavement to the great amusement of passers by.

Friday night and I'd just got back from my second delivery. I was literally driving up the approach road to the distribution centre where I work.

 

The phone goes off - text message. Pulled over to the side of the road.

Mrs Tet. I thought uh-oh, what's happened. Opened the message. It said 'Yay, we're going to Lanzarote'.

She booked a week for us in October. Puerto Del Carmen. Been there a few times now.
