Bum, ZX still at garage. Primer bulb replaced but still taking an age to crank, heard it spluttering down the phone with the garage. Glow plugs also being done. I suppose this breakdown at least forced it all to be done....

In other news, getting a train tomorrow to collect a car. Something I've never driven or ridden in either...

You will know why when you try riding one. There is so much flex in the front forks that I assumed the front axle bearings had fallen apart. No, that's just how they roll.

1. Just had a teeny tiny hole fixed and painted on the fiat's rear valance.

2. Same bodyshop now has the Mercedes back to fix the paint on the front wings, again.

3. Just spent half an hour on the phone to my Citroen mechanic friend about a 1949 Citroen traction 11BN for sale - ex Chris Goffey, but a wurthers original colour and leather interior for £12k. Not for me! The price seems ok, but there's nothing for me to do apart from paint it black and get rid of the cream interior.

Was that the one at Shitefest?

It's 6.30am on a Saturday, I haven't had anywhere near enough sleep, and I'm about to embark on a 130-mile drive in a slightly shonky 45-year-old car which has almost certainly never made a journey of that length in its life.  WCPGW?

Up early can't sleep. Having thoughts about my latest purchase it has a really bad wine coming from the belt area! I new this before I bought it! My nads are crossed hoping it's just the idler pully not the charger!!

I've filled the polo full of scrap and will be taking it to the bridge this morning. How much do you think I'll get for it?

£80, Let's Recycle says that the price of cars is a bit low.

If the guy who picks up my scrap was having it then you would be lucky if he took it for nothing. Either scrap is worth nowt down here or he is starting to take the piss.

£95 but he won't have any fivers so he'll give you £100 but be grumpy about it

Values are low but the vast majority of them do take the piss.

Car buyage is possibly underway, dependent on price.

Just sold the engine out of the Peugeot 304 I scrapped. It has got a bit of a journey to do mind as the buyer lives in Barbados. He has got a freind who will pick it up and take it out for him though so it might not be that silly. He has at least paid for it so thats a start

Wheel under bonnet, Volvo?

On my way to my top secret car collection. Train being delayed by low hanging trees. Unfortunately my lift from the station has turned into me getting a bus for 45 minutes. Better be worth it.
