This is what £400 gets you these days - a running, driving, fully functional air suspensioning, 4.6 engining Range Rover (VOGUE, dontcha know?) with some tasty accessories, which is neato under the grime and nearly immaculate inside. Bought it to break for bits for my other one but it's so spectacularly good that I'm sticking it in for an MOT instead. Just need to fix the non-functional driver's door!
And the number plate has most of my initials on it!!!

Loses any cool points for illegal and tasteless number plate.

I moved house this weekend. I’d love to say “never again” but - on the basis I rented my own home out and am now renting myself - I will have to move again!

New place is lovely. River views, 100m from town - and I also seem to live next door to a Rover botherer.

I think only one of them is his, but I’m unsure. Haven’t actually seen the guy to say hello to. Weirdly, it’s also the first time I’ve ever one in the tin. They aren’t for me, but I’m delighted that they exist and that people clearly get so much pleasure from them.

Next challenge is to move the Mini to my new lockup (it’s on strike atm though) and find somewhere to stash the sierra too.

Currently sat about 10 cars behind an accident scene on the M25. I've switched the car off because we're obviously not going anywhere any time soon.

We've been stationary for about half an hour and numerous fire engines and ambulances have come past.

I would complain but I suspect someone just up the road is having a much worse day than me. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Pissing with rain here. Again. As usual. #shitholecuntry!

I normally get the first snow around 1 November but not this year and haven't had any snow yet but the UK has gotten snow? the weather just gets weirder and weirder.

But I have 11 below now, so the temperature is at least somewhat normal.

Left for my weekly 2 days in the office at 4am as usual.

Started to snow about a mile from my house, then it snowed a lot, then a couple of lorries got stuck as they couldnt get up the hills, then i realised i was on hilly Welsh roads in a car without winter tyres and it looked like this

So i turned around and went home, looks like i will be working from home all week.

Ironically I'm not in the office today despite it being a Tuesday as we're in a project crunch. So I get to avoid the roads today 👌

I think we've peaked here now, stopped snowing

Amongst all the OMG snow news  - useful advice about making sure others are OK...

"Weather alert from the UK Health Security Agency.

This is the first amber Cold Weather Health Alert of the season, but we can expect more as we approach winter, and it is vital to check in on vulnerable friends, family and neighbours to ensure they are well prepared for the onset of cold weather.Particularly if they are elderly or otherwise at increased risk."

Herefordshire, 9.30.   Still snowing, not easing off yet.  May use the 2CV when I go into town.  image.jpeg.25d1ccceb809c84a12401b316402efc5.jpeg

I'll join in then.

I followed this advice this morning and bought the flightless pigeon we'e had in our garden the last couple of weeks into the house. He was drenched, happily sat on my flipflop now dried out.

It's not wanted to go back outside yet, I've offered

No snow here either, it's just been constantly pissing with rain.  The Ampera has all season tyres on the front and I've finished Lanoguarding the underside so it should be able to survive a bit of snow if we do get any.

Just the weather for a roofless windscreen less car.

Had a small run out in the Jag yesterday to Worcester to see an old workmate who had retired.

The coolant light is still on, so it's a sensor, but I'm still going to have to find out which one as I know that others have had similar issues and replaced sensors which haven't resolved the issue.

Do have to admit to having a bit of a soft spot for the Zonda despite most of its ilk holding zero appeal to me.  It's somehow just bonkers in all the right ways.  A lot of the interior was near enough a work of art too.

I agree with Richard Hammond, if you’re going to buy a supercar buy a mad one. They look like Flash Gordon era 1940 inside. Chrome switches and polished metal dash.
