I don't suppose anyone has Safrane RN wheel trims?

How many are you after?

Posted

Laguna II wheel trims don't look too terrible.

However I haven't been able to find any Safrane ones for over a month.

Bloody hell, I thought that was the Lovejoy Safrane until you pointed out it wasn't.

Being a Birmingham registered plate I think this would have orignally come from the big Renault dealership in Digbeth, Birmingham.

Yes Renault Birmingham I'm pretty sure. An Alpine A610 is 6 cars out from your lovely Safrane.

I went to the '92 Motor Show too. The last one I went to. I couldn't remember the Safrane but I remember the Toyota Camry estate with it's twin rear wipers.

The 1992 Motor Show was the first and only one I went to*. Apart from the Safrane, the only thing I vividly remember about the show was being given a demonstration of the Mondeo Gold stereo system on the Ford stand using Peter Gabriel's then latest album. Oddly, no actual Mondeos were on the company's stand.

*However, I've been back to the NEC several times since then, mainly for Crufts *wag*

Nice motors in general, and comfy...For me though I just far, far prefer the styling both inside and out of the R25 that came before it - especially in Monaco spec...

Looks like you need the money, look at the state of your trousers!

Thank god it's sold, domestic negotiations had begun in our house - Mrs h had got to eye-rolling stage.

I hope it's staying in the fold

It is, but I'll let the buyer reveal themselves in due course, if they so wish.

I haven't bought a replacement yet but am strongly considering the 418GSD Turbo on Gumtree....

It was me that bought it. Its an absolute dream to drive too. Cheers Bramz

Glad you're liking it!

I think I'd snap at another Safrane, especially a 2.5 diesel.

Mega bargain! That's a hell of a lot of car for £250!

I actually had a slight hankering for it, but I'm up in the frozen wastelands and have nowhere to park another car. Pipe dream...

I have owned various Clio's from 96-2002 but the Safrane is in a different league. I work for BMW so i drive their cars daily and it even shames some of them.

Ooh... one day I'll have one of these! Have had a strong feeling of wantage for a Series 1 Safrane for a while, but reading through this thread has turned it into a raging horn. Looks like a cracking example of a much overlooked beauty, and being an RN model actually appeals to me more. Had I not recently picked up a Phase 1 Laguna then I could well have been very tempted. But if this one's ever needing re-homed... should the planets align, I'd be very interested.

£250 you say? Safrane you say? Trying very hard to convince myself that my 405 doesn't need a playmate.
