You just need the RIGHT equipment.  Family holidays were camping  from being 6 months old, but my wife hates it, so I kind of understand where you are coming from. 

 

I don't know if I'm likely to come. I shall ask permission. I'd love to bring the wife and dog, (cavalier) but would cash in my Hotels.com reward nights.  Wife works Mondays and Friday so that's helpful (NOT)

Bubble car museum is within reach for any of the fleet (apart from the Volvo and A35 obvs).  I could even do it on the Spacy with a backpack.
