Right, let's try this again. 

 

The car is much the same as in the original post, apart from the following:

 

-MOT is to May next year - only part required to pass was a track rod end.

 

-It now has choons and it's got its fancy gearknob back

 

-The tyres don't have quite as much tread as they did before, although they're still perfectly legal

 

-The paint on the front bumper is not as good as it was, after a not-entirely-successful attempt by my mate to get rid of the stone chips - I've resprayed it in more or less the right shade of metallic black so it's not too noticeable, but it's there.

 

-Most importantly, the grot in the rear of the sills has been repaired.
