I said before that a forum is its' membership, but genesis matters too. I'd rather have something that crawled out of the primordial soup and refused to go away, that ClarkHamMay's shiny test tube baby. That way lies competitive tosserism.

If it were to become Pistonheads 2.0 a concerted effort to wind them up - which isn't hard, just tell them you enjoy driving front-wheel drive diesels and watch the blood pressure rise - can only be a good thing. Fiat Forum (panda classics) used to be a lively little place of the internet I enjoyed then some one tried to replicate it on facebook and took all the traffic and banter away from the forum and created a shit page which is torture.

 

I'd hate for the same to happen here.

 

It looks to me like Diretribe is just a crummy tie in with a motoring programme that amazon have paid too much for.
