But more progress today: got some knackered but air tight 145/13s from a local garage who kindly fitted them. Went up to the car before and put them on, it's now off the axle stands it was sat on for an eternity and just about moveable

Never fear, Billy's got this one's collection wrapped up:

That's worth more than £150 for the ID. It's the perfect base for someone to build into a heritage shell.

My mate's recovery truck has thrown it's hand in, collection delayed.

Can't you get the AA to recover the truck with the Midget onboard?

My mate's recovery truck has pointed out that a Henry Hoover may be more appropriate instead, collection delayed.

This probably has more working parts than most Freeloaders! Someone (elsewhere) got a bit irate that I wouldn't sell this to them for £100 including demanding to know why I wouldn't, so I just replied PISS OFF.

At least it's all still in one piece! Does the engine turn or is it locked up tighter than Tom Cruises closet?

I still haven't even opened the bonnet :(

It was dead handy my mate having a slide bed, because although he had to winch it on a bit, the bed makes a million times easier, and getting off took barely minutes. We checked the axle mounts which seemed whilst not exactly 'brand new' but good enough to use as a winching point, and they held good for this job.

It's been there so long the lady who lives there said when local people rang for a taxi they'd say 'X amount of doors down from the old MG' and she used it to guide people to their house. Seems like I managed to fend off the scrapyards to get it, though whether that was a good idea is probably questionable. Anyhow, it's been there 13 years going off what the owner told me and the V5.

That last picture, with the Volvo bike, must be a nailed on 100% calendar shot.

It doesn't* actually* look that bad* considering it's sat so long... (famous last words)

Ummmm, doesn't look that good to be honest. It scares me.

That's no good, they've only got the rubber bumber model. This one has rubber bumpers.

The unachievable has been de-unachieved.

We got the bonnet open too to prove there was an engine present...

Ordinarily I'd get so pissed on the proceeds I'd wouldn't even remember where my feet were to walk home, but I need to be sober tomorrow.

Beause?

You are up and out early as you are collecting something? Possibly a vehicle type something.

Something that isn't a small British sports car full of rust perhaps?

Nothing as exciting, just stupidly agreeing to a 50 mile bike ride with enough climbing to make an Everest mountaineer feel ill.

Well done mate, good thing to do.

Have you sold it?

I think that means you have to run for prime minister.
