garbaldy Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 So we've had the whole of Scotland called by folk south of the border and now northern folk calling the southerners, Great we just need another Hadrian's wall now Must be that time of the month again The Moog 1
Cleon-Fonte Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 It's official - Audis really do cause rage. purplebargeken, Alexg and flat4alfa 3
stripped fred Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Just when I thought we were all friends again...
Coprolalia Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Bizarre. Anyway, she looks a right honey and definitely a fantastic way to waft about at that price! trigger 1
smellypoo Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I'm off to the Winchester for a nice cold pint and wait until this all blows over. OP - nice car btw. Had an '88 Escort with a similar colour once - it suits your car better though. Brodders and Isaac Hunt 2

Brodders Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I'm off to the Winchester for a nice cold pint and wait until this all blows over. OP - nice car btw. Had an '88 Escort with a similar colour once - it suits your car better though.Slightly off topic, but that Shaun of the Dead reference just made my day.
Sigmund Fraud Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Crikey, I would have never thought that anyone on here would be offended by being called a skinflint. If somebody had called me that, I would actually feel praised ! flat4alfa, trigger, stripped fred and 1 other 4
trigger Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 The funny thing is i wasn't even referring to him, just generialisng what people are like on the internet when selling cars.
Alexg Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Blimey. This is all a bit unnecessary. Anyway, I thought being dubbed a 'Skinflint' was a badge of honour around here? trigger, BorniteIdentity and flat4alfa 3
rantingYoof Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 That's ok mate, it just gets my back up a bit when such skin flids start going on about how........ Well, I don't know about anyone else, but this new affectionate term for leppers had me roffling like a copter, it did.
Jim Bell Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Skin Flids is the funniest phrase I've seen on the Internet today.
stripped fred Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Just out of interest, roughly how much would a garage charge to sort out the exhaust gasket and injector seals? Are we talking about £250? How easy is it to diy?
Felly Magic Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Triggs get it on car&classics man, start it at £995, and put open to 'sensible' offers, stop pissing about, because that is where you should have advertised it in the first place, give it the full 'Doctor' bullshit spiel, some pretty pictures, and job done loserone 1
trigger Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Just out of interest, roughly how much would a garage charge to sort out the exhaust gasket and injector seals? Are we talking about £250? How easy is it to diy? Well the parts are £12 on ebay so that isn't a issue, I'm guessing it's about a £200 repair, me and dad looked at it but decided it looked a faff if i wasn't going to keep it. You need to pull the injectors out, and unbolt the inlet manifold which sounds easy enough but it all depends if the bolts come undone, It did all come off back in 2000 at 97000 miles as it had a head gasket done so It stands a chance. Triggs get it on car&classics man, start it at £995, and put open to 'sensible' offers, stop pissing about, because that is where you should have advertised it in the first place, give it the full 'Doctor' bullshit spiel, some pretty pictures, and job done I'm writing the ad as we speak! To be fair i have been using it until yesterday so i haven't really tried very hard yet. I thought I'd post on here first as I'd sooner had sold it to a shitter for a good price but there you go. Lacquer Peel 1
trigger Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 I took these a couple of hours ago for the car&classic ad. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C748942 CGSB, Sigmund Fraud, Skizzer and 3 others 6
bub2006 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Looks a tidy barge does that trigger. Glwts and im surprisedto see you selling. But due to being on my phone i haven't read the full thread
Timewaster Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 The funny thing is i wasn't even referring to him, just generialisng what people are like on the internet when selling cars.I don't think that came across. I thought your reaction looked like sour grapes because you are facing a loss.I was siding with chompy...... Then he posted that other rant! I think you might find this harder to shift as it's a bit left field, it's not really a classic but it's not a cheap old banger either. GLWTS it will be perfect for someone but you just need to find them. trigger 1
mrbenn Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Good idea making that video, even I'm tempted after hearing that gorgeous 5 pot warble! trigger 1
trigger Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm just drawing a line under that whole silliness, i misunderstood what he was saying and he misunderstood what was saying, I'll just leave it at that as life is too short to be arguing over a £650 car on the internet. stripped fred, HillmanImp, Craig the Princess and 1 other 4
Cavcraft Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 No it's fucking not oldcars, flat4alfa, Richard and 7 others 10
Felly Magic Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Oooh now the management are arguing, it's really handbags at dawn in this thread LOL, seriously though Triggs, don't under sell it, it is worth more than £650
drum Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Does this waft Trig? I ask because my B5 estate did waft. Softly sprung and dead quiet inside. I could make good progress while radio 4 presenters whispered away. Dead relaxing drive it was which I miss. If my circumstances were different, I would snap your hand off.
