That is ace!

Would love as track day. Asked about crail but they don't rent the track anymore.

I would have 2 cars up for a track day. Would rather pay for ours than knock hill

Haynes Motor Museum still does track hire, but we'd need a good show of cars.

Full day hire at Haynes is £950. That would only need 10 cars to make it worthwhile.

Excellent use of it. If the build quality is anything like the '90s Toyotas I have experience of then I imagine it will be satisfying indeed. One for the list I reckon, while ex-long term owner examples are coming up for grabs.

RAF Marham are having one of their trackday weekends over May 28/29. £70 for the car/driver then £10 for additional passengers. Really relaxed day and a chance to get loads of miles in. I've got the Lexus booked-in on Saturday with Baz as my passenger and Wuvvum should be there too, one way or another. Loads of room for more to attend!

That photo on track looks like something I'd take in Gran Turismo 5 just because weird mixture.

I'd be up for this, been ages since I took the Almera round Thruxton, and even then it was speed-limited. Would be ace to give it some beans and recreate one of the shite early career Gran Turismo races with some of the weaponry on the forum. Whats the circuit like at the HMM?

That's fucking amazing.

I have a Toyota Corolla T Sport kicking around in my yard which I'm so tempted to get track ready..... Not sure I'd be any good at driving on track though!

Really tight and twisty, so not too much risk of stacking it. Well, apart from the bloke on RR who trashed his Escort. I think it was there...

It's like a little spring/handling circuit, so you run one at a time - which has certain advantages. Would love a chance to take the 2CV there again, though not too soon because it's spread out in different countries at the moment...

I'd definitely be up for a shite track day. I've got the bug and am tempted to buy something a bit more suitable, but that kinda ruins the fun. A mate took me out in his MX-5 and it was ace, but kinda lacks the fun factor of taking a bright green Recreational Activity Vehicle around.

Maybe I should take the Metro next time.

These RAVs, in 5 door flavour do they have 5 seats? If so is the middle a 3 point job? Annnnnd could you fit a MTB in with the seats down?

From memory, it's a bench for three in the back of the early five doors. Middle lap belt.

The seats don't go flat, I think they're like the three doors, and roll into a lump behind the fronts.

I pulled the back seats out of my LWB one to make a useful van.

You can fit a MTB in an old Mini if you try hard enough, so...

I think Driftland can be hired for £100 an hour. I looked into it but I'd need to put a rollbar on my MX5 first. Their rules dictate that open tops must have them.

some guys I know from the Scottish kit car club hired driftoland last year, they ran it as a sprint day - one car out at a time for three laps then (unofficial) timed laps at the end. I was stuck at work so missed out :(

I did suggest that we all chip in for a gumtree snotter for everyone to do a time trial in but it never got off the ground.

it is quite a nice wee circuit, similar length to kames, i'm always up for a bit of track fun in the Mazda

Marham isn't too far from St Albans. Nearer than Castle Combe I'd say......
