Blue interior for the win. Once went to look at a 1.6 with the beige interior that you never see these days, body was nautilus grey IIRC

Is it me or are Bosch wiper blades not what they were? 2 year service life for a barely used rear wiper seems below expectations...

Maybe I'm just expecting too much.

Lovely car, went to look at one exact same spec and year once. But £3,250... is that what they are going for these days?

Selling for a friend 🙄

He’s definitely not just bought it for £800 and flipped it straight on. Fair play to the guy though if he can get £3500 off someone.

Hi @egg this has just passed us in London, I know it's a L reg not K plate but thought it might still be of interest

Agree - very good price and last a decent amount of time. Don't look out of place on older cars either.

The Mondeo I papped earlier turns out to have been registered September 1993 so only missed out on being a K plate by a couple of months

From nothing more than a passing glance, how come the saloons make up such a high percentage of survivors?  I’d have guesstimated than 80-85% of new sales would have been hatch and estate?

Was it those more likely to look after them that bought saloon models? Therefore, they're the survivors?

Saloons were pretty popular in mk1 Mondeo guise. They looked better and were from a time when it was still something of a go to body style for many, My parents included, M730 OTH.

Registered July 23rd so originally on a K.

Last MOT recorded 249k!

Was having a look at previous pages on this thread, and it looks as though this Mondeo has bitten the dust. Shame, but it did well to reach 27 years and 250k miles.

Thanks all, appreciate the ongoing updates. I need to go through my list again and check surviors.

New entrants  from those above are:

K609 SJE - the third known SJE still going with 737 and 598 also on the list

K901 EEW - nice to see another 1.6 base

K658 KCL is MOT'd but not taxed or on DVLA, so unless it's a plate change it's fallen off its perch since that photo.

58 still alive in total on my list at the mo.

Just banged all the numbers into the DVLA, LBF stylee and we have lost K898 WFR, but not surprising as hadn't been MOT'd in 5 years, but all other cars still on the system, which shows the rate of attrition has fallen significantly.

£395 seems pretty fair.  Last MOT was kind, although it's obviously in a bit of a muddle.

I reckon a day of love would see that looking a lot better.

£395 you can’t dither. A banger racer would give that all day on a Mk1 Saloon, they don’t tend to dither like enthusiasts, turn up cash in hand then go unlike a lot of people fussing over whether it’s had the timing belt and if or not it’s got budget tyres on.
