Dollywobbler's Prelude - Re-Roffle WINNAH!

I can sell a friend's XM in mere minutes. My own car? Hours and no bite. HOURS! Maybe I should flog my XM instead. I'm rather liking the whole two-pedal experience I must admit...

I should also remind folk that it is a Cat C at some point. There. That should get it sold in no time.

Where about in sunny Wales are you Dw?

Pretty much exactly where Shitefest '14 was. And I could be in The Midlands this weekend...

Has Lord Bentley of Torquay not yet dispatched his man to purchase the Praline?

This place, etc.

I have had precisely zero interest in this car, which is ludicrous! I'm off out in it in a bit and really looking forward to it. Even though I'm heading to a committee meeting.

Lovely looking car and still looks surprisingly modern. I area t think what insurance would be

PRICE DROP. £545 anyone? Sensible offers welcome. While the 2CV fund is looking healthy, I'm being honourable and not touching that for other reasons. So, as I still need food, trailer wheels etc, I really do need the Prelude gone. Which is annoying, as I like it.

Come on people, you're missing out.  This really is a fantastic car to drive, probably one of the nicest handling cars I've ever driven and the gearbox really suits it.

Had to use it to drive to South Wales and back today, because the XM wouldn't let me in (remote CL f*cked again, door locks frozen with ice). Does mean it's on nearly 91,000 miles now, still driving beautifully. Had some great fun on the B4343 from Lampeter to home. It really is a JOY to drive quickly. Also, I now entirely hate manual gearboxes.

Bargain - however this is the thread Im waiting for...

You may have a long wait. Have had a couple of people sniffing around this tonight (virtually at least). Fingers crossed eh?

Would anyone like to make me an insulting offer? At least I could then say I've got an offer on the table, and pretend I'm going to be a powerful businessman like Donald Trump. *thinks up really cutting-no-just-purile insults and several lies* I'M A GR12 BUSSYNUSSMAN

PRI-DAH!

Kidding, I know you really don't need a swap.

Well, that's something at least. Wish I had a barn. At least I could save on the tax then!

Would folk be willing to chuck a tenner in the ROFFLE pot for this one?

Posted

Yes, as long as you promise I won't win it.  No space and I'm never at home at the moment to get stuff MOTd or anything.

Yes please.

Anyone mention LJKS yet?   :-D

These are a cracking car. £545? Why pay more?

Posted

It's not really feeling like a ROFFLE love-in yet though. Is it worth me writing a list of numbers?

Posted

I'd think about waiting a bit for a roffle, there appear to be a few active at present .. Rover 214, Celica, Rover 800, possibly more.

AUCTION a la Shed-Ex?

Feel free to copy/paste my T&C's. It's likely to stay cheap, so add a reserve if you want.

It's way less admin than a ROFL and less desperate scrabbling to fill the numbers. Roffles are brill at one or two quid a ticket, the dearer ones struggle more.

Consider this the 99p opening bid :)

Posted

I'd consider an auction but I'd need a reserve, and that might stop it working.

Posted

Aye, the ZX only cost me £4.50 to buy, so I didn't have much folding invested in it and could afford let it go cheap to someone on here. The sharing economy, innit.

pm an agreed person your reserve and they can be the arbitrator if it comes to it, but at the end of the day you can choose to sell or not so run an auction and if the end price is acceptable to you it sells, if not it doesn't.

I think I'll consider a ROFFLE, but leave it a bit yet. As has been said, a few on the go at the moment.
