SALE TIEM Citroen XM, 2.5td exclusive, Stoke on Trent

Anybody interested in buying my 2.5td XM exclusive? MOT until March (I think) Volvo 960 wheels, new front tyres, rears nearly new, new front brakes and rear pads, droplinks, rear brake pipe, Good interior, body good apart from various small dints and scratches, but still looks smart. 209k but drives brilliantly. Needs sill welding on passenger side, a patch, the rest of the sills and underside are A1. I've driven this all round the U.K and it's been fabulous, plus it runs happily on 50ppl veg oil making it very cheap to run.

This is an absolute weapon for towing.

Just remembered, the ABS light was on, but it's been bypassed, think it's a sensor, but I never got round to fixing it.

This also comes with a fuckton of spares too, bumpers, lights, fuel pumps....

Price. £700ono, collection from Stoke on Trent.

Sad to see it go... but I fancy a change..

Do like, but the roof is too short and the back not square enough.

Is the 2.5 TD a champion on veg?

How would the raffle work? I haven't really been paying attention

Divide the price between soon to be 59 numbers. Each interested rafflee makes choice of numbers known and goes on big forum based list. We pay you via PP (no mention of raffle) or bank transfer. I win and collect the car as soon as possible. Is easy really.

Sounds a plan... there's already a couple of raffles on so I'll give it a few days..

What if the winning number (bonus ball?) isn't one of the tickets that have been sold?

Posted

Then it's a rollover - try again on Weds, try to sell more tickets in the meantime.

Whatever could be more appropriate to your needs than this, Tim? You'll miss it!

Nothing! I may just keep it... I've put in lots of effort to get it "just so" and there's not many 2.5td's about, and this ones a good-un.

Aye. I have been looking for other cars that tick as many boxes and gave up. It's why I've had mine for almost a year.

Damn, ive been ignoring this thread on purpose, but a roffle you say... Every time I get in the zx I love it, but its not an XM...

Wow, you wouldn't want to drop anything in that engine bay, it'd never be seen again! Looks gr11 though and at least cms206 won't have as far to go this time :)

This is depressingly accurate in my experience.

It seems a shame to sell it, how about doing a temporary swap with one of my fleet?

You get a change of car, say for a month or 3 months. I get to drive an XM again, my friend sold his that I drove regularly and I miss it (02 plate C5 is just not the same).

Same colour and in Exclusive spec as my old 2.1  That was getting rusty though, but lives on

Number 31 please

Oooft. Big Citroen you say? Veg powered? 22 and 23 for me please...

I have a couple of items in my tool kit for lost in the engine bay items. Therefore this car is MINE!

Nah, it'll be fine. I dropped a brilliant long screwdriver bit down one of the chassis legs of mine whilst nipping up a jubiliee clip. Heard it exit the engine bay 4 miles later on a corner I always took at speed because the hydractive let me! Would have stopped to retreive it were there anywhere the pull over that wasnt on a blind bend, and if the bit that fell out came from a set worth more than £4.80 from ebay...

Always had a soft spot for these - how many tickets will a Rover Streetwise get me?
