Due to ‘things’ I won’t be able to make it. There’s a room booked at the Best Western in Buckingham for me so if anyone needs a room, there’s one there if you pretend to be me.

Half the job is done!

The warranty and after sales service on this used car is top notch, the previous owner gave me a hand!

All came undone very easily, perhaps too much so! I'm sure the rear pipes will make themselves known though once we've stopped for lunch

Shiny-shiny stoppy things :)

Five and a half hours motoring to spend four hours in a field was time well spent, it was great to meet everyone. Mrs sixcylinder needs to make the boat into an AirB&B for us next year.

Two bathed children and we've just gone fuck it, shall we go back tomorrow?

Is there room? I can help take the strut out of the van if it's not done tonight, done it twice before on another vauxhall!

And in a surprise to everyone the rear flexi's came undone with zero issues, took @Talbot longer to fight a retaining clip than do both sides!

Brakes feel way better now! And that's the last  job on the car done. This whole driving 2000 miles in 12 months does wonders for the replacement schedule side of things... Bar the aux belt anything else that goes wrong is new and unknown!

My bubble has ditched on me, so was thinking about a visit, but am still not fully well after a couple of days of cold ( what I am calling the panda-flu thanks to my youngest niece.)

There is room as I am guessing around 20 the same as today.

Thank you @Six-cylinder and @Mrs6C for your hospitality today, it was really nice to come up again and see familar faces again, and new faces for the first time.

Trip home was slow but uneventful - hope everyone enjoys Sunday and Monday.

Cool, ta.

I've burnt for the first time in my life though, that sun got fierce. I'll see how we wake up in the morning

Was it your box of stuff for sale with the Morris 1000 handbook in it?

I've already got one of those (not sure why) but I am interested in the angle grinder. If it isn't already sold PM me with a price including postage please.

I might drop by really briefly in the afternoon to drop a couple of small things off for Dez.  I won't be able to stop for more than a few minutes, and it's just a little thing but I think it would be nice gesture.

On our way!

Good to see you are wearing the correct attire for British open top motoring: Baseball cap to keep sun out of eyes, Poloroid specs for the cool look  and lots of clothes because it is still a bit chilly this morning.

Have a great day out and do not set the satnav to 'most direct route' if it takes you through Hemel and Leighton town centres.

@DSdriver

Oh definitely, had to put my coat on, trying my best not to lose it on the motorway. Nearly there and cruising along. Looking despairingly at the other convertible owners we have driven past with the roof up on such a lovely day.

Yeah, pretty much.  We make him a cup of tea every hour or so...

Once all the jobs are ticked off the list Chris will give him the keys back to his car... If it's a productive day tomorrow he might make it too!

Do all FoD days purely consist of @Talbot fixing *everything*?!

He'd got the cv joint changed on the 306 in the time it would of taken me to get the wheel off..

Day 2 of FoD, sunburn was a concern.

Three top objectives achieved, Exhaust fitted to MX5, CV joint on 306 and spring on Astravan.

Another fantastic day.
