Seat Exeo

attachicon.gifimage.jpg

I walk passed one most days and I thought it said Exed until I tried to google it now.

You know some retail chains move stock between locations and subsidiaries based on best before dates? This is what VAG did with these.

"Yes, Sir, they're still perfectly usable, it's just the gearknobs are going a bit cheesy."

The reason for Mercedes Citans existing is Mercedes' excellent commercial vehicle service, I'm sure they run 24 hour workshops or certainly late shifts at the Mercedes CV garage a mile from here - less downtime, moar profit.

This was mine. Just a Fiesta with a different badge. Grill was a bit different.

Yep - more black plastic trim on the corners. I was well aware of these, it's just I'd never seen one later than V-plate in that shape. What I didn't know is that there was also a facelift version with the different lights. I've only ever seen one.

Cars I didn't know existed - near enough everything that our hero Nigel Bickle buys.

I had to check through five pages to see if anyone else thought the same as me. I should have started from the newest post and worked back.

What was the story with those Mazda 121s? I know Ford had some sort of involvement with Mazda at the time but they seemed pretty pointless - only ever seen a handful?

They were made for people like us so that in the future we have instant shite.

I believe it has something to do with import quotas. Only so many cars built in Japan can be sold in EU countries, so instead of building an entire factory in Scunthorpe you just slap your badge on a car that is already built here.

Or I could be talking out of my arse as usual.
