It's an AMC Gremlin, not so unusual right?

But my tiny mind has been blown finding out that in 1977 you could get one with a 2.0 VW/Audi engine!

The vehicle itself is fairly irrelevant - but manufacturers in China have been making purpose built execution vans since at least 2005.

The mind boggles

Now I’ve seen it all. Lada Niva extra long wheelbase. No, not a backyard mechanic conversion.

The factory offered many versions 4dr,crewcabs, high capacity , I think even an amphibious version, pretty much like land rover did here.

Amazing & much maligned usually by Muppets , similar for the original panda 4x4.

Toyota Vellfire

I've a feeling we've got a couple of those, or something similar, knocking about as taxis where I live.  Took a minicab to town recently and it was an oddball Japanese van of a sort not, as far as I know, sold over here.  The driver said he was very pleased with the cab, although didn't expand.

Perhaps it's because the demand for petrol-powered people carriers has outlasted their supply in the normal market -- not sure any remain for sale these days from any of the normal manufacturers.

Could the Peugeot Traveller replace the Transit as the caravan dwelling tarmac and landscape specialist's vehicle of choice?

Rumours that a dag is thrown in on the deal are entirely unfounded
