That AMG did work on cars made by manufacturers other than Mercedes Benz...

I remember seeing an AMG badged Mitsubishi Pajero and thinking it was some sort of crap attempt at modding until I Googled it.

In fact, I'm fairly sure that the vehicle shown in this link is the one I saw.

That looks ace on those wheels.

I've always wondered why Fiat don't shove the 1.4 turbo out of the Abarth 500 into the Panda. That would be an instant seller. All the performance of the 500 Abarth in an actually useful body shape! Hell, it would literally be a bolt-in job as they're the same car underneath anyway.

While my imagination is running wild, why not use the AWD system out of a Panda 4x4 too? 140hp+ and AWD in a car that size? Woaft.

I wondered this about the Swift, when I got my Sport I took a test drive the AWD verison too and found it 'adequate'. The chap in the dealership said it would need too much reworking of the AWD,  which I assume is a Haldex system, to make it worthwhile.  I also imagine the CO2 readings would be off the chart too?

I dearly love these, engine under the rear seats is a great idea for packaging, 4WD and optional turbo makes it even better.

It also looks like the smaller brother of a Suzuki Ignis Sport, but with high profile tyres.  What a winner

If they imported the 4x4 version I'd probably buy one for work.

But they don't.

The styling reminds me of the Alvis TD21. A mate of mine's dad has (or had) a TD21, I remember they picked me up in it for a birthday party a few years ago.

We had one in a while back that had lost the Bristol 6 and had a Triumph 6 transplanted. I quite like the styling but they don't seem to command high prices of other AC cars.

And that exotic sounding name is just an abbreviation of Riny, zoon van Rinus (Riny, son of Rinus)! The relative success of the Ruska buggies prompted several hobbyists and tiny factories to try their luck with Beetle based kitcars as well.

Are there any left?

I used to really like the small pickups. Seemed most manufacturers did one at one time..

Those 4x4 that seem to be made for angry little men.. what's the point? If you want a load bed that high up, you may as well put a roof rack on a car.

They couldn't have made it look more dangerous in that first advert if they'd tried!

Looks like a Range Rover compared to the press launch of the Sinclair C5.

My Dad and Sir Clive Sinclair rode them down Orpington High Street many years ago on some sort of promotion. He says that it was terrifying!

I still keep looking at them on Ebay though!
