Hi,  Have you still got this and is it still for sale and is there any paperwork and has it ever been registered in the UK and how far from GU2 7XH and can I have a look at it sometime during day light and I know somewhere that'll just luv to MOT that front brake. ?

I WOULD DECIDE ON PRICE THEN PUT IT ON GUMTREE OR SUMMAT,EBAYS FULL OF KNOBS,ALSO TRY MOVE IT TO A MATES OR WORK JUST FOR A VIEWING,I KNOW 2 PEOPLE WHO GOT ROBBED BY SELLING FROM ADDRESS WHERE BIKE IS KEPT,BYE BYE DUCATI AND RD,TAKE ANY BUYERS NUMBER PLATE DISCRETLY TOO IF THEY DONT BUY IT

Would this Velosolex be worth buying to renovate and sell on? All the seller knows is it's late 60s,it doesn't run and needs new tyres and tubes. Any idea what it would be worth 'as is' please?

Probably a couple of hundred tops, but there is quite a following for them so might go for more. Parts are easily available but registering can be a pain in the arse and costs 55 quid

Thanks for the information,he did mention £150 so it might be worth a go. The seller goes to France every week so getting spares shouldn't be a problem.

I've been following these for some time as I would like one as a run about and to tinker with. I'd agree with the above and add that I think this will need an MOT. Late 60s would make it a 3800 most likely. There's an Antique Moped Owners club (can't remember their proper name) of some sort which has lots of info.

The one thing to think about before buying a Solex is they are totally shit, unless it is on the flat and you are under 10 stone. It was a big ask from mine to drag my fat 17 stone arse around our yard that is flat and level. Buy a vespino instead a much better bike that can pull me along at more than walking pace without using the pedals. I happen to know where there is a very nice project one for sale !

You're thinking of the National Autocycle and Cyclemotor Club (NACC) - see here (yes it is suitable for work) - http://thebuzzingclub.net/

My VFR failed it's MOT on the rear exhaust downpipes leaking, I've had to MASSIVELY disassemble it to get access to the poxy things.

Rear wheel bearings need doing too, that looks fun*.

Check out my state-of-the-art VHS player there, great for viewing those educational Fiona Cooper videos in privacy.

I vaguely remember doing an early vfr when it was my job,if only we all had tiny Japanese hands,it was a right arse, studs snapping everywhere.
