HillmanImp Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Was the one of the Cavalier taken from a bus? Good spottage.
rml2345 Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 Aye, there are a couple taken from buses as bus journeys can be bloody boring things. The Sherpa camper caused much excitement and doubling back. Bet it would be great* in a crosswind.Still would like.
Angrydicky Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 That Astramax is superb. Can't remember the last time I saw one in the wild.
seacow Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 That Astramax is superb. Can't remember the last time I saw one in the wild. Astravan. The astramax had the box hightop thing. Good god I'm dull and know some wierd shit. I even have a brochure of one somewhere.....
CreepingJesus Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 The grey 940 lives over by me: I have a pic of its' reg plate, but not the actual car! 'Clean' doesn't do it justice, it's near perfect.
rml2345 Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 I've been spotting more shite and taking rubbish photos of it for your perusal recently, so here's some sort of update type update.Sorry about the massive photo dump. Still working VW LT Luton Fancy an icecream? Rileyshite Bus museum hack Obligatory Volvo EXCITEMENT LEVEL: DANGEROUS More to Come...

rml2345 Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 It would appear there's a limit to the number of photies you can have in one post. Superb French camper I thought the body kit on this was aftermarket... Crunchy 190E Everyone's* favorite van One life, Chequer plate it etc. P6 in traffiic W126. rml2345 Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 YO!I've spotted some more tat/near tat/probably not tat but I liked it anyway, so here's an update type update. Deid 740 stripped for bits This Cavalier MK3 was strangely full of soil CR Smith! Thanks to the power of Flickr, I now what a Citroen C35 looks like This looked a right wee honey Truckshite in the form of a T45 cabbed Leyland DAF 45 I know it's a bus but I fuggin love these things. Delivered in May 1988 and this one is still in use Pisshat. Aldi isn't half as good for spotting shite as it used to be Slightly bent 240 estate I spotted this and thought late registration madness, but it's not even close. I IZ MONG White Crapi looks tidy And to finish, here's a poverty spec XJ40 which had a curious mix of alloy and steel wheels C'est Fini, as the Germans say. aldo135 1
dome Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I see you've been to Sports Car Breakers, if I'd spotted those Excels while Breadvan was selling his I'd have bitten his arm off, the red ones engine is intact if somewhat crusty.
rml2345 Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 I have indeed, more in hope of finding some long forgotten 740 to pillage for spares than actual expectation of finding something useful. Both the Lotuses (Loti?) look like they've been in there for forever so I'm surprised to hear the red one still has an engine to give up for a Lotus wielding shitist... Or to sell on ebay as, "OMG LOTUS ECAT ENJIN NOT FERRARI MR2 BOEING POTATO BROWN KECKS" for megacoin. dome 1
Faker Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 That Astramax is superb. Can't remember the last time I saw one in the wild.Astravan.. I know a fella with one in N.I. He has owned it for 10 years and is the genuine second owner. It's got 60k on its gm 1600 diesel and it's mint. He hasn't used it for about 6 or 7 years but won't sell it. Bastard!
Sigmund Fraud Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I have indeed, more in hope of finding some long forgotten 740 to pillage for spares than actual expectation of finding something useful. I presume you did liberate that 960 eggcrate grille, which should make you a huge* profit if sold to the modified volvo community ?
rml2345 Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 I presume you did liberate that 960 eggcrate grille, which should make you a huge* profit if sold to the modified volvo community ?Err... No. Beginning to wish I had though as they seem to go for funny money.
scruff Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 B4ART Love the Citroen van, never seen one of those on this side of the water.
rml2345 Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 I've spotted more tat recently and been to a few shows over the summer which didn't have as much tat as they did nice things. Not surprising I suppose.Firstly, here's links to the show stuff as there's bloody loads of it. Some stuff will appear here as well though. Linlithgow Classic Car Day Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival East Fortune Wings and Wheels On to the spottage... Rear engined shite... Brilliant Renault 12TL Series Land Rover I Like trucking and I like to truck... Cima. This has become something of a celebrity... OMG STIKABOMB YO! Etc. Eight Tidy TC KAR OV DA SHO This sounded ropey as fuck Desirable shite Less desirable shite Not shite, but still lovely Diesel Escort was full of stuff. It was an 'L' too! Mega shiny. I got a proper scowling at for taking some of the close up photos of this Tidy Fiesta in winning hue. Genuine TR8 with sandwich board to prove it Cortina and Sceptre vulgalour and Vantman 2
rml2345 Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Part deux. I did have this done already but managed to mong it up somehow, then got fed up and watched "Air Crash Investigations" on YouTube instead. So here we go again... There was something incredibly dodgy about this Mini Hadn't seen this in a while so it was good to spot it again Husky Custom BROWN Are XJ40s still shite? Then handsome Quantum MK2 This had twin exhausts and a mental bike carrying thing I actually thought this Royale V6 was dead rakish and would quite happily cut about in it MOAR BROWN Familiar Ital Ace Cortina Some racing. I'm shit at action shots though. SOZ This MG TC was supercharged Part three to follow... vulgalour 1
rml2345 Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Immediately... CF ice cream. I didn't partake... APPROVED. Dunno of what though Probably not of this Nova. It was HAWT though 4CV Ford V8 was lovely OMG BUSH FIND! No idea, but it looked rough and made a refreshing change This was otherwise debadged. Not like it's an unrecognisable shape though, is it? Just about lol'd my knackers off at this thing Vitesse. Now you're talking... Rare Jensen bodied A40 Sports was lovely Delta HF Integrale. Probably not shite but not common either... Wasn't sure whether to include this or not... This was dead brilliant and one of only three left apparently. It's been in the owner's family since 1968 and had a pretty extensive restoration carried out. Americaland Sorry Marcos fans, but I think this is HIDEOUS The Zodiac estate from the shite estates thread Praying Mantas Spotted this before but managed to grab this awful photo. Late 960 estate in that mid blue Volvo did for a while Another mental overhood? MK4 was quite nice MOAR later or tomorrow or something as it's bedtime. vulgalour 1
skattrd Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Just about lol'd my knackers off at this thing Oi!That belongs to Twiggy, it was the next one off the line to my rally car.I did Ask Twiggy if he wanted one of my spare light pods, but he said he was ok and he made his own. I can't say I approve of the front splitter and wheel arch extensions though Gr9 pics mate.
HillmanImp Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 The mini is a private plate: Vehicle enquiryThe enquiry is complete. The vehicle details for TNC 134J are:Date of Liability 01 12 2013 Date of First Registration 05 06 1993 Year of Manufacture 1993 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1275cc CO₂ Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker N Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour RED Vehicle Type Approval Not Available Vehicle Excise Duty rate for vehicle 6 Months Rate £77.00 12 Months Rate £140.00 Top photos. Never seen one of those 4CV before. I like it. It looks like a bastard lovechild of a Volvo Amazon and a Fiat 500.
rml2345 Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Good to know it's a private plate rather than a ringer. It just looked really dodgy at the time! The 4CV was a big surprise and looks like it might be hiding some go faster mods.Apologies to Twiggy... It just seems like such an unlikely rally car.
UmBongo Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I like the blue Austin in the - one of many - car parks in Livi centre. Also, the Volvo 340 is parked as far to the left as he can, yet some arsehole has still parked too close to it.Well, that's what it looks like to me.
vulgalour Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 That little Husky is delicious, I'd take that home, probably in the back of the old Hearse which is equally desirable. The powder blue roadster looks like it might be a Doretti Swift, but there's a few details like the grille and indicator location that make me think it can't be. eddyramrod 1
rml2345 Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 You get arsehole parkery quite a lot in Livingston. Probably because of the large number of car parks and folks not paying attention. You're right about the powder blue roadster btw Vulg, it is a Doretti Swift, although I've got it listed on Flickr as a Swallow Doretti. Based on Triumph TR2 components apparently and made using alloy tube more commonly used on bicycles at the time. Better looking that the Triumph it's based on IMHO...
rml2345 Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 I haven't been very well the last couple of days so couldn't be arsed to do the last of the updatingHOWEVERToday is a different day... Passed this on the way in... It was doing about 43 miles an hour. I bet this MKIV Zephyr was enormous when it was new. Now it's about the same size as an Insignia or something Granada Diesel was brilliant. The owner plans to do a bit of restoration work on it which makes him a WINNER This was less win worthy. Beautifully done but why would you throw the pez engine away and substitute a diesel in a convertible? This 2500 passed me on the way home and I never saw it again, It was lovely though BEIGE. A Maestro is the most disappointing car I've ever driven Go minicabbing like it's 1995 Mongtastic photo doesn't show how nice the yellow Series 1 was Andy CMS did NOT approve of the Vanden Plas Allegro. I thought it was a foxy wob filled potato HNNNNNNNNNG! Estate was Super. Literally Thought this was class. Powered by a 492bhp Detroit Diesel V8 Variations on the Martin Walter Bedford CA theme Amazon was GORGEOUS MK3 Escrot ragtop
