Top speed is impressive , 0-100 kph, less so for that kind of car.

The figures I have are a bit better than that.... 0-60mph  was supposed to be 3.8  and 0-100 mph was a staggering 7.7 secs, so pretty hot for something with no traction control, 2wd and a manual gearbox!

Visited family in Somerset this weekend - found one of the local garages has an excellent variety of chod on the forecourt and (presumably theirs) on the roads of the industrial estate nearby:

First registered in May 2022 so probably a Japanese import.

good shout, is there any possibility they are basicaly the same chassis?

The pilot one below looks very similar to both pictures

The Pilot was based on the pre-war UK Model 62, which was based on the US 1935/36 Ford, hence why the chassis look almost identical. I think there is a slight difference in the wheel base .

Carantec, Brittany, on Monday. After two weeks in Normandy and Brittany, I've noticed that these and Saxos are the most common older small stuff around. Not 106s, strangely. I saw more Peugeot 406s than 407s, which have almost disappeared. The Twingos are often like this one, from before the minor facelift, making them over 20 years old.

Nice rigid chassis with that X-brace.

I'd say so. Absolutely loads have come from Japan in the last five years or so

Just pay the £12.50 exception fee. That way all the pollution has magically disappeared.😁

I'm bloody glad I didn't just assume you can do that in the zones outside London.  I very nearly drove into the middle of Aberdeen when visiting a friend up there - nope, it's a £60 penalty charge in that zone if you stray in with a non compliant vehicle.  As I need to deal with the London one relatively regularly given it includes Heathrow, I'd figured they would all work similarly.  Glad I checked!
