Interesting spec Landy tho.

There's one or two farmers' late model LWB Defenders knocking around here that are a bit different - that one, another silver in a crew cab configuration with open back and another crew cab in metallic burgundy with canvas/hoops on the back (dealer supplied). The last one is owned by a family who continue to run another two 90" models.
Completely outnumbered by the Jap type pickups but the LR owners seem to cherish/own outright whereas most of the pickups now are on three year leases. Older ones like the L200 are not so common but I think that may belong to a guy that is a true Autoshiter and has a moveable feast  of three or four pickups/4x4s on the go at any one time.

I've returned during daylight and took more photos. The Safrane has been off the road for 15 years. The Laguna is a V6 and has been off the road for 13.

There used to be one of those  in Broxburn that appeared each summer.

Looks decidedly less axe murdery during the day. I bet most of those are well beyond redemption now, especially that R18. I'm sure there must be a good reason why people amass old chod like this and leave them to rot. I'm reminded of that fascinating 'Field of Dreams' place up in Scotland.

Ta for going back, great spot!

Down the road from the in-laws house, I’m slightly worried about this one because I’ve towed with a sapphire on a proper trailer with a mondeo and that ended up in tears. This single axle trailer looks like an old caravan chassis.

1.6 LX. Looks like a barn find.

Could also go in the late registration madness thread but you do actually see a few late registered MGR group cars. I guess it took a while to sell all the unsold stock off.

Saw this Regal t'other week. That's a respectably sized bonnet scoop, wonder if it's off a Grand National/GNX?

How lazy is a spot when someone turns up to you in it? 🤣

A buyer for some aircraft bits arrived at my barn today in this glorious shite, a Saffer import Cortina Ute. All original, with no underseal it doesn't go out in the rain! Luckily for him the roads were dry today

That’s an L300 , I think and much bigger than a Rascal. Almost Transit, Sherpa size and quite popular in the early 80’s.
