HillmanImp
I have recently been to the Costa Del Talbot Solara and was fucking gutted not to see a single Seat Malaga or Renault 7. However i did see the following: Pug 505 in Riviera del sol Renault 21 in La Cala Stranded UK Spec Merc in the car park in the apartments we were in. UK spec 626 also in the apartments. Fiat 600. I honestly cannot remember ever seeing one of these in the flesh before. I assume it was in daily use too as was parked differently the next time I was at the bar. Rover 800. I honestly have to say, I saw more Rovers over there than I do here. Ex pat community without the class system of having to upgrade your car every 3 years I suppose? This is the only photo I got of Mrs H. Imp on holiday. Its unfortunate that this FX4 drove past as I was taking it. Seat 131 with bonus Land Rover in Mijas. I had never seen one of these before. Got very excited. Danny DeVito spec Renault 4, also in Mijas. Renault 19 & Pug 205 in the 'Littlehampton of Spain' Fuengirola Comedy Vectra in Riviera del Sol. And as proof thats you can take 4x4 owner out of the UK but you cant stop them parking like a cunt I give you this: mercrocker, michael t and KruJoe

KruJoe
Superb hol-spots there Mr_Imp, good effort. Yesterday I saw an oh-so-rusty white Astra mk3 saloon parked up by the bridge, opposite the pub in Malham. It would have made an ace picture, but I was too ashamed to stop and pap it, I'd have had to stand amongst all the tourists drinking ale on the cobbles. Whoever the owners are, they're brave people for taking that Peugeot camper van all this way. It doesn't look the most refined or comfortable mode of transport in the world. HillmanImp
This weapons grade shite incredibly was parked outside my work in edinburgh last night. Could've got a great pic of it. Typically my phone was flat. Gutted. Imagine my surprise when out with the mrs later to come across it again, this time with a charged phone, but as I was mobile only a particularly shit shot was possible. First one I've ever seem in the metal. Want. Hey, this is up for sale at a very reasonable £29,500. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C360948#
phil_lihp
Just back from a wonderful week spent at a ranch in the middle of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, USA. Even out there, 9 miles from the nearest tarmac road, there's chod to spot. This was wonderful, a very, very battered old Ford truck, I would guess from the 1950s or 60s. It looked like it hadn't turned a wheel in years. Wrong. A loud commotion was heard mid-morning one day and turned out to be this truck, spluttering and stalling on (at best) 4 out of 8 cylinders, trying to drag its load of horse manure out of the pit it's kept in for easy loading. Turns out it's actually used for carting said manure up to another part of the ranch, although it's definitely on its last legs, it appears to have a top speed of about 10mph and someone mentioned that it has virtually no clutch left (confirmed by a lot of gear grinding following by seeing it run out of momentum on a slight hill while the driver was trying to change from 2nd to 1st). These are all long past roadworthy but all used on and off around the ranch as far as I could tell. The red Ford truck furthest from the camera was jump-started and put to work carrying hedge cuttings later in the week. Futureyankshite Chevy Captiva rental car - not too bad as these things go, nice comfy cream leather seats, the 4wd and ground clearance was very useful as the dirt road up to the ranch got partially washed out later in the week. Those chrome wheels are patently hideous though. Also the dreadful colour screen on the dash which displayed a garish logo even when the radio was turned off, was not appreciated. beko1987
Impromptu spot from yesterday, followed it for a few miles (mate was driving) and I took some smudges as it pulled out of the junction infront of us! Sadly he was doing 40mph in a 60 prior to this, so my mate wasnt as happy as I was to spot it as he couldnt overtake due to laws of physics, other cars etc michael t and vulgalour

trigger
A chap i know owns a garage around the corner and has started to get into selling classic cars so I popped by this afternoon to have a nosey whilst passing. This Viceroy is a minter, I think he's a bit hopeful with the price though. but this Montego on the other hand does seem to be worth the money, it's mint again and only has 51000 miles on the clock, I have spoke to him about taking a photo of this and mine together which he's happy with but he wasn't in today.. I was offered this Cortina recently for sensible money but I'd just bought the Acclaim, I'm not sure if I'm feeling it though. This 100E is getting prep'd for sale. morris_ital_lover
