Have a picture of the water tank for the closed train line opposite the garage; much of the track bed has been turned to a Greenway and many of the station buildings are now houses

Loads of redundant rail routes are becoming Greenways now. It all started with the oul line between Westport and Achill.

There are moves to turn Rosslare to Waterford, and the remainder of the Western Rail Corridor north of Claremorris, into Greenways. Once that happens, rail will never make a comeback.

Many moons ago I worked for a guy who owned an old station on that branch line; he'd bought all the station buildings and approximately 15 acres in 1971. For £800. He used it for his business until he retired and has left it idle since; it's on the edge of an expanding town and he knows well the payday that's coming

He's around 70 now and fighting fit; I'd say it's likely to be developed soon, there literally is thousands of houses being built in 15 square miles around here; in rural Wicklow. Arklow, Rathdrum and Wicklow town are growing more now than during the 00s boom. We're thinking about moving elsewhere tbh

Sounds like it's going to the dogs.

Another exotic spot this morning. A works Talbot that was part of the team that won the 1932 Alpine Trial. One of its sisters sold for over £200,000 in 2008.

PJ 7362 - 1932 Talbot 105 Vanden Plas Tourer

And something completely different. I haven't seen a Nissan Urvan in forever.

Yesterday when I popped into my mates garage a customer drove this in asking for some paintwork, i asked if I could take some pictures for a group of nutters who would appreciate this in its lowly Popular glory, I'm a sucker for small commercial vehicles as I spent decades bombing around in them, a lists of the modified bits, wheels, sticker on boot and seats from a popular plus with head rests as his wife wouldn't travel in it with the standard seats, enjoy 🙂

Went to a customer's today in the Avensis.  It looks shit rocking up in a 21 year old Asian Taxi - so I tend to park around the corner.  Apart from the client saw me and drove over in his £72,000 70 Plate Mercedes GLS.  Classic.  Felt a bit embarassing tbh.

Anyway - saw this on the way home and it made me smile.  Although thanks to these and XR3’s - no boy at my school ever got even a kiss off of a girl because they were all hanging out with the 18 year olds.  Bastards.

No obvious way to identify it as there is no logo or VIN, interesting nevertheless

I'd agree. Shame, there's a D-reg one locally that looks awesome, still working

Went to the truckstop in Towcester today. A corner of the car park appeared to be stuck in 1994.

1994 at Jacks Hill

The Micra is a 35,000-mile one owner car that's just been sold by the re-use and recycling centre on site and looked mint apart from the missing wheeltrims.

I saw this van in 2014 when it looked more standard:
