trigger Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Went for a dog walk this morning, when I got to the car park I saw this Mk3 Fiesta. Which by the time I got back to the car had magically turned into a Volvo. michael t and HillmanImp 2
Luckythirteen Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Okay...first go at this...WCPGW? It was wet and grim the other day, so for lack of anything better to do, and hoping the weather would keep the junkies and neds (interchangable) indoors, I went for a wander round mah hood yo. Well, that's the shite campers seen to. I was still alive, and not running for my life. So far so good. To be fair, I'm not sure what to fling in, but I gather an old Volvo is desirable amongst us Scots anyway, so there's an S70 turbo and a pair of 400s. Sorry for the shitty pic quality, I'd resorted to stealth video by then. I R CIA. A couple of proper knuckle-draggers had appeared behind me (the 400s are next to a 24hr bakery, so ideal for skip raiding) going 'What's she taking photos of, huh?' Abandoned trying to snap Citroen ZX. Life. Fearing for. Paranoia. Fuck it. Back home, get car, go. I'd no idea what this was until I saw 'NORTH CARR' on the side, and googled it. Quite a story. Quite a rusting bucket. If Autoshite did lightships... The frigate Unicorn. Not Autoshite (or Shipshite)? Well...it's a long term project, but it's going to cost far more than expected, the parts are unobtainable, and it's okay parked up where it is. Worth a visit, if you're a shortarse with a fiver burning a hole in your pocket. And delusions of sinking the Spanish Armada single handed. Many canons, very impress etc.As for the Discovery...meh. What's it ever done for anyone? Apart from being an icebreaker at parties... Go shops, joke Landy (at least I hope it's a joke...) ...not to be outdone by the Jeep brigade: I mean, srsly? Rly? Did you have to do that? Your reg was funny enough...Then this happened... ...I could see me in that Merc. I could be happy with that. It's a 280 and the exhaust is held on with wire. But it's not really Autoshite, is it? The Polo is, I could afford that. The Polo is shite. The Merc is not. Help.Anyway, it's late/early, and I need sleep. So...the rest of it is here, if you want to see how underwhelming a wet afternoon in Dundee can be. Don't expect much... Grundig, ShiteRider, burraston2006 and 1 other 4

HMC Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Most residents in one of Londons most expensive post codes like to flaunt it in the car stakes, check out the background. One maverick couldn't care less richardmorris and Skizzer 2
richardmorris Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I do like those Astons. When I lived in Colnbrook I came out of the flat one day to fine one parked next to my 2CV. The owner was getting out of his and said nice car - I offered a straight swap HMC 1
HMC Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I liked the fact it was a bit grubby and had minor parking damage, basically someone actually using it. Far more common to be seen photographed in a white room in a glossy car mag with a daft price tag.
catsinthewelder Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I was very sad to see a mk1 Twingo on our local scrapheap a few weeks ago. He usually leaves the cars out front for a couple of weeks to see if anybody wants to save them. So it's probably for the best that I didn't spot it earlier.
fordperv Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 i was at tesco the other day and saw this burning chunk of love went to post a parcel earlier and got a double whammy of shite bonus giffer in shot ShiteRider and Junkman 2

Ghosty Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Seeing as this has cropped up again I'll dump a few mongy iPhone pics from today in Buxton, and my week in London: Alfa Spider Jap-looking thing. Had badges that said 'SJ', Griffith Limited Edition', and 'Sunchaser'.Accidentally got Mother Ghosty in the photo as it was hard to photo it - owner was sitting in it. V8 Vantage. Brizzle. US spec 560SL. Jensen. Late V12 E-Type. Ice cream anyone? Tidy Mk3 Fez. Renault Zoe - someone actually bought one... And a browntastic 518. HMC, Jim Bergerac, Junkman and 3 others 6
ifc63 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Jap-looking thing. Had badges that said 'SJ', Griffith Limited Edition', and 'Sunchaser'.Accidentally got Mother Ghosty in the photo as it was hard to photo it - owner was sitting in it. Well you should have come across and said Hello then !!I was on my way back from picking some parts I'd won for it on Ebay in Sheffield and had stopped for a quick sandwich. The car is a Griffith International Sunchaser conversion based on a 1981 Toyota Celica 2nd Generation Coupe. The badge actually says ST, not SJ Don't be shy next time !!! catsinthewelder, Junkman, Ghosty and 2 others 5
Asimo Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 These Volvos are timeless This says Volvo on it too, but I have no idea what it is. I think I would like one though.Needs a bit of work. There was an angle-grinder going in the shed behind.... michael t, Junkman and catsinthewelder 3
panhard65 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Went to Bath on Saturday it is a bit posh to find shite but I did get a couple of snaps.I just had to prk next to this lovely old Merc. Then spotted some poor fool about to make a terrible mistake. Finally on the way home I spotted one of the southwestern Phil's in his little Rover 220. Unfortunatly the other half wasn't quick enough to get a snap HMC, Junkman and michael t 3
HMC Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Ghosty, think I spotted the same Aston as you on the previous page when I was in London Friday just gone
