Light 15 Roadster on the A38 near Rattery, this morning. Not short on power - it was absolutely flying!

I know this car. It dates from 1937. If you want to see it in the metal, along with about 25 other Traction Avant / Light 15s etc, the Traction Owners Club will be at the Lyn Valley Classic in Lynmouth, Devon on June 11th https://www.lynvalleyclassic.co.uk . Here it is at last year's rally in the Lake District.

Costco this afternoon.

Looked pretty tidy at a glance.  Nice to see one without stretch tyres and an exhaust you could drive a train through.

Corfe Castle? That's where I saw it.

Been in CZ five minutes and saw this one.

Then I caught a trolleybus in Brno, just because, which dumped me ten minutes from a suburban station. On the walk down to said station, first I saw this.

Bugger me, a mk1 with colour coded bumpers, roof rails and a very rare option, headlamp washers. They're a bit clumsy looking but we never got them here.

And then! IMG_20230312_173734.thumb.jpg.d0bdd597c8e93aab2a2db4f0138a01fb.jpg

Fuck me, an Atlantic Green mk1 with colour coded bumpers, slightly Barried. I doubt the Czechs call it Barried, I wonder if they have an equivalent.

Seen five Felicias so far, so not exactly common but a lot more common than back home.

Cracking Mk1 Fiesta parked up by a local Tesco Express, yesterday.

GL spec means some restrained chrome trim around the windows, a reversing light plus rubber overriders, but not quite the full GHIA.

Plenty of giffer trinkets on offer, including padded seat covers, aerofoil wipers, and the all-important tartan blanket over the back seat. Repro tax disc for bonus has-a-timewarp-opened-up? head-scratchery.

Great colour too.

It could be 1985 all over again...

Spotted a dozen or so Crown Vics outside Vegas airport. I would have thought most of them would be retired by now seeing as it was 10 years ago they went out of production

They're not all in this pic there was another row behind them

Topical, see “cars that would have worked” thread.

When I eventually got to the tip today somewhat to my surprise we wound up with two 1988 cars next to each other.

IMG_20230314_154003.jpg

Best photo I could get.  They have a *very* strictly enforced no photography policy there (no, I've no idea why either) in there and they were already thoroughly pissed with me because I was three minutes late.  Well I wasn't - I was sitting in the queue caused by their stupid ANPR cameras for over ten minutes waiting to get in.

Lovely diesel W124 with a lovely maroon cloth interior being used as "an car" as they are so good at.

Shit pics from me as usual, but this is the first Grenadier I have seen in the metal and I must say I quite like it. Even the colour which surprised me!

A few more from CZ.

I'll get the Felicias out of the way first. After a slow start, once I started getting out into the suburbs of Brno they were everywhere. This is just a few.

I was too slow with the camera both times, but it was flying.

I used the premise of taking a photo of this attractive church to capture three mk1 Octavias, a 406, a Mk3 Golf and a Peugeot 301.

Is this a private plate? I don't know if they have them there. Perhaps a coincidence.

Caught from the window of a fast moving trolleybus, hence blurred, but I also saw another  one on the way back.

I'm not sure what it all says but the words just married in English can just be made out on the rear window so I assume thats the date of the wedding on the bonnet. Which was nearly two years ago. It doesn't look like it's been sitting unused for two years so I assume they are driving it around like this.

Despite the graffiti it was very straight and tidy. Also of interest, admittedly only to me, was a seat fabric I'd never seen before and early Felicia wheels. Oh and a quality bonnet scoop for force inducted heater.

Forgot this one. I think mk1 Superbs are now rarer than Felicias. Plus bonus Zetor tractor for @Dyslexic Viking. Obviously quite a new one, but Zetor none the less.
