I always forget how small these cars are until I see one with anything alongside it again for scale!

Now that's just lovely.  So nice to see one in such unmolested condition, and so much nicer than the half-heartedly modernised mess that currently wears the badge.

Cannot quite believe the prices they fetch though!

I see this occasionally on my morning walk, but saw it in daylight this week:

This seems to have replaced a 90’s Japanese car, there is also a Rover 620 and early Aldi 80 cabriolet nearby but I feel a bit self conscious taking pictures. There are also a couple of Xantia’s and a Renault 16 on my walk but again difficult to photograph discreetly.

Early r8 saloon this morning. It was a bit of an oddity; I thought saloons were H - on, it had what looked like leather seats under the covers, no badges but a a body kit on the sills. Maybe someone more knowledgable about r8s can fill in the blanks @Ghosty

London yesterday morning. I had to drop my shopping bags in the middle of the street to get this one!

That's weird, I saw that several months ago, just being loaded or unloaded on to a truck. I wonder if it ever travels under it's own steam, or does it just move around between a succession of beavertails?

These have been on this drive for years , only about 2 miles from me, but I’ve never noticed them.Ive spoken  to someone who tried to buy them. Yes, it’s a real Lotus and an urQuattro under the Cat Piss Tarp. The owner won’t sell- he’s “ Going to do them up”

That's certainly seen better days, however the MOT history suggests it's very well used - MOT'd every year with steady mileage increases, going on for 150k.
Weirdly it appears to have Rover Sport sill spats.

Comes back as a 414SLI registered March '90 - launch was April, however G platers are very rare. I used to own an H plate 400.
Leather seats were an option (I think they should be blue on this one??) and the bodykit, if geniuine Rover Sport, was also an option and worth a bit now. Bit weird to see one with just the side skirts, mind.

That's definitely one of the oldest surviving 400s on the road.

Would the grille also have been an option? I thought that only the later cars had those, or was that just for 200s?

That didn't even occur to me. That was a DIY some people did to 'modernise' when the facelifts added those grills to the range, or if you asked your Rover dealer nicely...

Spotted this on a used car dealer’s line-up on the London Road, Pembroke Dock. It has a Pembrokeshire reg number so possibly local to here all it’s life. No MoT from 2018 but that’s probably because someone is taking advantage of the exemption. Goodness knows what horrors may be lurking...

It’s for sale too.
