Cor, an LX on base model wheel trims. Interesting. To me, anyway.

Egg, I saw those trims and thought of you.

I mean, I'm not sure I should be publicly admitting that, but there you go.

Not really optimal pics - but I had a coffee in one hand and half a croissant in the other when this giffer-piloted lump of GDR beigeness hove into view along the Shore Rd, so I reckon I did alright to crack off a few snaps under the circumstances...

Have a bonus Saab 900S and all.

Didn't know Greenisland had its own Stasi, but admittedly South-East Antrim can be a wee bit backward on a few issues...

Quite a few CXs, mine included, have this weird problem with the offside lip of the bonnet lid. At about 50mph, air rushes under the lip, causing that side of the lid to lift. I see this Safari may have the same problem.

Haven’t seen a Saxo in a very long time. And a follow up “when did cars get so, so, big”.

I honestly can't remember seeing one of these since whenever it was between 2001-5 that we sold one at the garage I used to work at.

Always confused me that they were torn apart so much by the motoring press for being hideously ugly, far beyond any technical shortcomings - the glacially slow acceleration being a major one.

I always felt that contrary to popular opinion that the Musso was a really handsome looking thing.  Far more so than most of the big off roaders of the time.  Still stand by that opinion too.  Even though the Musso is the exception...I agree with the masses that a large portion of their portfolio is downright  nightmare fuel from a stylistic standpoint.

Only real gripe I can remember from the driver's seat was that the diesel engine was about a litre too small.  It felt painfully sluggish even compared to the clapped out Metro I had at the time that ran on about 3.5 cylinders.

The petrol version now...that on the other hand was bonkers.  Especially with how softly sprung they are, the thing would virtually stand on the rear bumper if you went near the throttle.

Other than that I really can't remember seeing anything which would have caused me concern...it was comfy, well equipped and while not exactly been from granite like an 80s Volvo nothing felt like it was overly fragile.  Recall we had a Disco in at the same time which had less kit on, far higher mileage and in worse condition...yet it sold for more than double what the Musso did.

Guy who bought it loved it too. Used to see it every year for a service until I left the garage.

Being honest, it's a vehicle I had totally forgotten about until this afternoon.  Have added it to the potential future dog-friendly daily runabouts for if I ever decide to move on the Xantia.  Cherokee is probably still at the top of that list, with some variant of an ocean liner sized tank station wagon at number two...but the list of other options is growing now!

Never knew these got smoked tail lights at some point.  Suits that colour I think.

The Thema's wheels look slightly too small for it. Probably Delta wheels. Another inch on the diameter would make it more in proportion.

There the correct wheels for a series 1. Even the turbos only had 14" alloys.

God Almighty, they do look small. Or should that be "smol"

I see this Uno around quite often, it was a rainy day and the single wiper was having to work hard, I think the design has held up well.

Fire appliance and Vauxhalls above are at a place in Suffolk, there's a bird of prey center there, worth a visit to see the flying displays, if that's your thing.

The cab framework on the Bedford is made of timber, I like to think it's Ash, in an ironic way.

I couldn't tell if the lady in the sidecar was trying to protect herself from the breeze or just covering her face from embarrassment. The rider had a fair lick on, I struggled to catch up in my van.

I've seen this a couple of times locally now, my grandad had a 1.8 years ago, it made an odd whining noise that I know now to be a worn diff!

Above five taken at a local show, it started small but has grown in size and quality over the years. The Ginneta is a favourite of mine. The AX was mint, mega low mileage, unmodified and showroom fresh.

Normally when I go shopping I can be reasonably sure that I've brought the only metallic blue G-reg four door. However I don't mind losing my crown to this chap, council rims notwithstanding.

Have seen this a couple of times, not sure if it’s a daily or just a station car, but it’s definitely one of the few cars small enough to fit in the tiny bays at that station.
