Car based hearses are just too posh. What you really need to depart in style is a converted van.

This Commer Superpoise apparently never actually got used as a coffin carrier because once it was completed its owner was appalled and said he wouldn't be seen dead in it. At least it has a petrol engine and not a rattly old diesel rough enough to wake the dead.

For the finishing touch of a life that’s really thrown you a bad card… being carted off in a cardboard coffin with that rattling its bollocks off. No wake, just a few chicken spread sandwiches on Bimbo bread in the car park next to a dog being sick. 🤣

Not quite how Pure Cremation put it in their ads.

I’ve often wondered with that, do they burn them all at once to save a bit on the gas then divvy the ashes up? Doing em one by one must be a ball ache, if I was doing them I’d stick 2-3 in at a time, could probably knock off by dinner time.

I don’t really care much once I’m dead.

Certainly with pet cremation they generally do several animals together and then give each pet owner a share of the ashes.  Unless you pay extra for individual cremation.  Not sure what's legal for human remains, though.

Brace yourself, this could be upsetting -

You can only cremate one person at a time. In fact the dimensions of the furnaces are specifically designed to only allow one body in at a time.

The really upsetting bit -

Spoiler

The only exceptions are still born twins, triplets etc or mother and baby.
