The rear side doors were also for bearers to sit either side of the coffin.

That is "Geoff" he was a 2.3 manual with Nicholson coachwork. I owned him around 2004 and had great fun with him, I did have a tow bar and collected 2 1/2 Fiat 126's from Scotland one weekend. He was also transport of choice when buying wine in Burgandy where some arse reversed into him. That photo is after I sold him as he was on alloys when I had him. A true base model with the 2.3 and manual. I expect he ended his days on the oval as there is no record of him after 2010

Fucking hideous, the older Granada etc ones are so much more elegant. If someone tries to put me in a hearse like that I'll be popping up out of my coffin to have a word.

When that goes to the crem I think they should leave the departed in the back and just drive straight into the oven.

Or maybe, as it is electric, it could be a new type of mobile crem.

^^^ I'd be surprised if that was ever used as a hearse.

An RAF-3920 hearse based on GAZ-14.

That’s a rough send off…

Presumably would have left the factory in pick-up/flatbed form?

Would never have thought an A60 Farina could look sinister, but here we are

Judging by the extended body line from the cab and the vents on the rear quarter that started life as a crew cab pick up.
