Yes, they are!  I had one for six months, and some days it was a bit of a struggle to get in and out (not as young as I used to be!).  I also have big feet, which means that not only did it feel cramped, it actually was.  But I don't regret it.  If you reckon you can move it on for minimal loss in a short time, then grab one.  It'll be fun!

I've had 3 but only ever had one on the road, a 1978 1300 Lido. This was the run-out 1300 model as the 1500 was on it's way. They're definitely 'cosy' inside and the only car I've had that gave me an unexplained (at the time) backache. It was only when I went to see the doc (unusual for me, and I was only 28 at the time) that he asked if I'd changed car recently. When I told him what I'd got he said the action of getting in and out of a sporty little number like this was the cause. I persevered with it and soon learnt that they're great fun to drive when they're not breaking down but have an unnerving habit of spinning 180 to 360 degrees if booted on non-perfect surfaces. It did the 360 on me twice without any major damage other than a change of pants.

Are you also preparing for when those buzzy drone things become used commercially? I've thought about this and I think one of those slingshot catapult things with the wrist rest would be a good tool, especially firing 3/4'' marbles, have that you lithium powered marvel of modern technology.

OFFERED: 2 front springs, allegedly for an 05 Fiesta diesel or Van. Anschler part number 627591371. One un-used, the other with around 500 miles' use.

 

When I had a snappage while away from home, I bought a replacement pair from ECP but only managed to fit the off-side one. Got home, then a few days later the top came unseated - the local garage then informed me it was the wrong spring . I'd actually compared it to (the remains of) the broken one, and it looked identical, but apparently not...

 

Anyway, I'd binned the receipt, so if anyone wants them, they're free. I could bring them to $hitefest, or post them at cost if anyone's really that desperate.
