OMGEPICPHOTOSKILLLZ UR shite/wife wiv Double Digital Camera shite mega meal deal...

Everything* pictured below for £25 inc postage (2nd class signed for)

Canon Powershot S40

In good used but cared for condition. No known faults.

This was my dad's and he used it sparingly and carefully.

Canon Powershot S45

In terrible worn out with bits falling off condition. Works (takes photos) but some controls are intermittent at best.

This was my camera, I took it everywhere I went and used it extensively. I looked after it but it's taken a beating over the years.

Also

Literature for both cameras & software disc (pc & Mac stuff)

Leads & charger

Spare Canon branded Batteries

Memory cards

Camera pouches, 1 padded, 1 Leatherette effect for formal occasions

Also also possibly have the original box/packaging for one/both cameras but need to confirm.

Most of the photos on my flickr account were taken with the S45. The S40 is pretty much the same just lacking a couple of features. They are fab cameras for the size (approx 5MP) I've got a Canon G10 now and not only does it create a trouser bulge due to it's size, it's not a patch on this camera, especially in low light/awkward lighting, such as taking pix looking towards the sun.

WANTED

DIN D Radio

Pref FM, but AM only just as acceptable. The radio in the cherry is utterly forked and the cause of the fuse blowing. Its only connecte dto one speaker (front dash) but I am debating wiring it to the two rear speakers that the tape player (working) uses.

Must look something like this:

No, it's because I ride seven foot from the kerb.

Not an NOS one but have a couple of nice good straight Arrow body bumpers. They came with an arrow minx I had years ago. Rediscovered them hung up in the garage a month ago. One of them has over riders on it. Not sure if you're into rechroming but its an option if you don't find a new one, but good hunting ;)

I have what I think is an NOS clutch flexi pipe, the plastic one with a weird goose neck connector on one end. I might have some hoses, a head gasket set and brake shoes somewhere too.

Question for all:  Not a for sale or wanted, but thought this thread was probably the right place.

I've got the opportunity to buy a remarkably cheap and remarkably large industrial unit.  Access to it is a bit crap, but not awful.  My thoughts are to use it as a winter storage for cars, specifically offering it to people who don't have use of a garage / carport or similar, but who don't want their prized autoshite going rusty in the winter months.

If I were to offer dry, de-humidified, heated storage, with the option to keep batteries topped up and tyres rolled / car on stands, secure, alarmed and out of the way of harm (but at a location I visit most days) how much would people genuinely be willing to pay?  I'd look to offer a per-month cost, or a "over winter" service.

Just want to know if it's even viable.

There are people out there doing this for a living, but they usually cater for exotica rather than old shitters. Asking them is probably the way forward.

Indeed, but then people with exotica pay more to lay up a car over the winter months than I would consider spending on a car in the first place.

The thought here is to do this cheapy-stylee.  I'm not looking to make monies.  I just like the thought of autoshite being kept in better conditions than a new mundaneo, but want to be realistic about it.

If it were to cost about the same, or a bit more than car tax (sorry, VED!) to keep the car tucked up for the winter months, would anyone be interested? (IE about £20-£25 a month per vehicle.)

Check about insurance for this before going further.

Yo Talbot, I don't know where you are but I bet you're in Upnorthland like most shiters.

However, if such a service were available at a good price near me, I would be interested. It would allow me to have as much shite as I wanted, and leave it outside all summer in the knowledge that it would be tucked up all snug for the winter.

However, just because shiters would be interested in it doesn't mean it would definitely be commercially viable. I don't think we're representative of the wider population.

Mr Talbot were are you or were is the storage unit?

A good idea if it can be made to work

I am very much dahn sarf.  The location of the building is not far from bognor regis / littlehampton.

does of course add an issue of how far anyone would be willing to travel to some storage....
