The colour on the Ferrari is great. Not a supercar fan per se but they're neat enough.

After a few fruitless trips out around 3 local towns I bumped into a Tescotainer guy who told me there’s a supply issue locally. My nearest Waitrose where I last had huge success keeps bumping their next delivery date back by a few days each time so I’ll wait until next week to go again.

I found a few today in 2 stores. Halfords had a new display stand instead of the handful of models at the till. Lots of old stuff, but a couple I didn’t have. Expensive at £2.50 each, they were almost a frustration purchase so I didn’t go home empty handed.

I then found a couple of others at another Waitrose which looked to have been restocked recently, although with nothing new/sought after.

The trucks I’m working on have progressed well. 
Found a good trailer for pairing up with the Volvo FH12. I’ll repaint it, and make some more uk style rear doors. The storage boxes underneath need removing and replaced with side protector bars too.

AEC Mammoth Minor is being reassembled. 
It’s had a pair of new round fuel tanks made from plastic tube & off cuts, air tanks from a 3D Printer on eBay and various other bits. Cab and interior painted up ready for the glazing next.

 
Leyland Bison 2 has had loads done too.   
I decided to do this as a roll on/off waste skip truck. Skip is another 3D printed jobbie with the hook mount rebuilt to suit the truck. Chassis has had the same replacement fuel tanks made from as the Mammoth and a hydraulic oil tank added for the hook arm rams. A new frame and the hook arm made from plastic sections and some control levers etc fitted behind the cab. New rear mud guards made from thin aluminium sheet.

I got insider info that Tescotainer were getting two boxes in today, and so it was

Picks of the bunch were a Mitsu 3000 GT

Lovely bile green Bronco 

Ugly duckling Dodge pickup

Quite a classy, if over-wheeled, Lexus

3 series compact

Plastic French portaloo with even less safety, but more green

And this. Some of the chase cars don't do a lot for me, but you'd have to be dead to not be excited by a Cobra, surely

That's not all - it never is. CMC delivered their latest offering, the Bat Boat to go behind the Batmobile

Bat Geezer and his mate look well impressed 

Another box contained this Hot Wheels Custom Volkswagen Beetle, one of the earliest ones with the opening engine cover. I've got a loose one but couldn't say no to this 

Also mint and boxed is this Zylmex Rolls Royce, another I have a decent loose example of, but not one in its original packaging 

@eddyramrod sent me a few oddities, this blue glass Superkings Volvo among them. Pretty sure this is some sort of factory error with the glazing from the ambulance version 

 Along with half a dozen large scale plastic VW T1 panel vans he's had since he was a nipper in the 1990s* 

I've been collecting VW toys for a long time, and I've never seen one of these

Hopefully I won't cause any offence by removing the kid paint from all those years ago on at least one of them!

Sticking with VW but moving on a few decades, this popped up for sale and intrigued the Mrs and I

Labelled as a Teamsters, it was obviously a Welly Lupo, but detailed differently to the normally Welly ones

Only a bit of sellotape between me and a closer look, so...

Yep, Welly, but with the rub strips, door handles and side repeaters detailed - at the expense of the front and rear lights

It's definitely different to all the others - I checked

Moving on, a tip off on the WhatsApp group lead me to this Guiloy Granada 

I didn't need any help with this Matchbox Mega Blaster 

Which was joined by another unusual Matchbox, a Speed Riders that came with a few spare chassis too

With all the excitement of WiFeY, I forgot to show you what I picked up today from my Depository!  This was my recent Roffle win from the lovely @sporty-shite.  

The lady in the flowery dress is the marvellous Lesley, who is happy to receive these parcels on my behalf.

Mmm, a bit stuffed!

I’m very blessed. My Mrs was aware of my disappointing, empty-handed venturing so FaceTimed me while she was out shopping to see if I wanted anything in The Range she was at.

Not a bad result. Made better by her refusal to accept any money for them.

It's about time Tomica were readily available here again. The article says this will be the first time but we of a certain age will remember Toymaster selling them in the early 1990s and I remember some of my first diecasts in around 1979/1980 were Tomica bought brand new from a toy stall in Huddersfield indoor market.
