OK - stretching the theme of this thread a bit now, though this is definitely shite!

1/32 scale M274 ‘Mechanical Mule’ with a 105mm M40 Recoilless Rifle. The Mule is a 3D print, standing crew are adapted from TSSD US Vietnam War Marines, driver is a Siku tractor driver with arms pinned into position and a TSSD head.

OMFG!  That’s the colour my 104 was!  An internet search for Odeon beckons…

Pretty sure they do a red, pale green and yellow version of it. So far, I’m yet to find a seller of them in the UK though.

Love that ‘mule’ btw! I watched a documentary about Vietnam a while back and remember seeing those recoil-less rifles on that.

Wouldn’t surprise me, being French! They seem to go out of their way to complicate things!😁

I haven’t seen one in the UK for yonks. Last one was on the A3 one morning, just bumbling along in lane one with some old guy driving it. Pretty sure it was a V reg. looked a low end one too, very basic looking.

Apparently they were in production until 1988 but I can’t remember ever seeing any that late?

Stopped them in U.K. about ‘84 ish

The stubby Peugeot 104ZS/Citroen LNA soldiered on in the UK to 1988 as the Talbot Samba.  I'm after the 1:25 Polistil model 😍

Apparently, that little 3 door stubby version is actually known as the coupe!

Visited my mum this last week and was sent home with the toys of my youth, as she's been holding onto them for years.

Some might be up for sale but who knows!

70p what an odd price!

In more delivery news I received the 1/24 Ixo Sunbeam today following a tip off on here, and then a price cut offer from the seller made it too good to refuse.

The Ford Ranger is another local Maisto find, which just needs the axles straightened.

And the raffle win from @Tenmil Socket also rocked up,but only a couple of pics of the extras until I have time to unwrap it all..

1:43 Odeon Peugeot 104.
Lovely little thing it is! I remember a neighbour had one when I was little, but you never seemed to see very many.
I do much prefer the 5 door version to the stubby 3 door type. The back looks like it’s been sawn off on the 3 doors!

Came from French France.
I’ve seen these Odeon branded models before but they’re often quite pricey, and seem to be a French thing. Most of the models are of French vehicles. They’re another one though that’s almost certainly related to IXO.

Ill probably get rid of the branding on the side, whatever it is, but otherwise it’s fine as it is I think.

I would leave that alone, they are selling for 40 euros at the moment.

Picked up various tatty toys at the boot sale this morning, been too busy today to post them up until now.

First up, who's this made by, and what's it supposed to be?

PXL_20250621_151807532.jpg.f511e8683e19df15ea7fddbb75469852.jpg

I know the answer, but I haven't got a clue about this one

I've got several of these Cougars in my project box, so of course I bought another

Not a Ferrari guy generally, but I'm sure I've not come across a Corgi 348tb before. Can't be too many Chinese made castings with opening bits

We are safe then.  Kids used to swallow micromachines and lego bricks whole.  Why the problem with Tonka 🤣.

Which has revealed some differences, there are cast in supports for the spoiler on the production version, some extra bumps(?) behind the roll bar, and the slots on each side of the interior have been filled. Some of these changes were obviously to stop the driver going missing and the spoiler getting broken, which is exactly what's happened to the gold one!

That's a late Marx stab at a Mustang, isn't it? From their cheapo era with no baseplate, interior or glazing (but you might have got a bit of cardboard wedged under the axles trying to represent such luxuries).

If you're not into slightly iffy Chinese toy cars, you might want to skip this post. I had a moment of weakness after seeing some of the Temu finds shown on here recently, and hit the button on several.

Most are absolutely blatant copies of Hot Wheels, and the quality is...mixed. Barracuda has had something odd happen to the paint on the roof

That's a late Marx stab at a Mustang, isn't it? From their cheapo era with no baseplate, interior or glazing (but you might have got a bit of cardboard wedged under the axles trying to represent such luxuries).

Aha, I knew someone would think it was a Marx, cos that's exactly what I thought too.

Yes I was going to shout Marx because the wheels said to me it was

I think Marx only did this convertible Mustang which is rather better, if still crude

The Camaro is quite similar in its very approximate styling though

Picked up various tatty toys at the boot sale this morning, been too busy today to post them up until now.

First up, who's this made by, and what's it supposed to be?

I would say it is.  I have a couple already, including another silver one.  With a bit of luck I can make at least two decent ones out of what I'll have.  It's entirely likely they will be in different colours by the time they're seen again!

Yes it is, I think I sent Eddy the previous one I found

I think Lesney got approval for it's castings, although the Rolamatics Police Patrol seems to go against the grain. I suspect it's just a spelling error on the base, like the "Volkswagon" Beetle. That got corrected quite quicky, so I'm surprised "Scammel" slipped through the net. The King Size version has the correct spelling

I'd say so, there were several other Matchbox military bits in the same box, I'd just not seen the bike before.

Here we go, 1976-77 twin pack - the Jeep was in the box too but had no windscreen as usual
